This is a little hidden gem of a Vietnamese/Chinese restaurant in South Houston if you're not familiar with the area. The dishes come out in fairly generous portions, always hot, and very tasty! They definitely don't cheap out on the proteins either. Our favorites are the salt and pepper squids, combination fried noodles, shaken beef, and the seafood "salad". The salt and pepper squids are very crunchy (as they should be), fried perfectly and sits on top of a bed of lettuce and sauteed onions. Honestly we would be happy with this dish and a bowl of rice! Delish. :)

The combination noodle is great too, and you can taste the wok hei...the extra aromatic note you can only get when the stir fry is cooked and tossed in a very hot wok. The noodles are chewy and loaded with various proteins.

The shaken beef is also very good. Note though they do traditionally cook the beef on the rare side, as they are literally just seared briefly and then plated. Maybe you can ask them to cook the beef a little bit longer if you don't prefer rare beef.

Now into the seafood salad. It's loaded with shrimp and squid, tossed together with various pickles veggies and jellyfish. It's a traditional Vietnamese dish served in many occasions, and this place makes a damn good one. Try it. You won't disappointed. The acidity of the dish helps balance out the meat from the other dishes.

In all, a great family owned restaurant pumping out delicious food, tucked away in south Houston. Give this...

This place is awesome! My wife and I tried the Vietnamese egg rolls for an appetizer; and they were simply the best we've had in the area. The fish sauce that came with the egg rolls was also the best we've had; and it wasn't overbearing on the smell or taste like most places.

For the main course we ordered the combination and the bbq pork bahn mi; and I had a foodgasm lol. The bread had a very soft; yet crispy outer layer, and the meat/veggies were paired perfectly inside of the sandwich. Most places we've tried bahn mi had very tough, chewy bread, but you guys were on point!

For dessert we had the 3 bean pudding/smoothie, and it was tasty, but I have to recommend using shaved ice instead of chunks; as we had to fight to get to the good stuff lol. You could also use dulce de leche/condensed milk as a topping.

Overall you guys get 5 stars for the food and the fast/friendly service. We will also most definitely be back to...

I was in this place early last night for dining we gave our “to go” orders for the kitchen to start cooking and ready by the time we were ready to pay but the service guy didn’t place it and this was fine . I ordered 1.family size combination lo main Combination fried rice Beef with mixed vegetables

Order #1 had no taste or flavor at all . Order #2 was alright . Order #3 was the total scam I will say . No only it had no flavor but hardly any beef and more of vegetables and swimming in souce . The name of the dish on the Meñu was “ Beef with mixed Vegestables” At least he true to what you post on tje meñu . The reality is “ mixed vegestable with Beef” My wife loved eating in this place and she has for years . I eat with her on occasions and never had a bad experience like yesterday and I felt ripped off . How can you and your cook prepare and sell food with no flavors at all and...

This place has been one of my favorite places to go for authentic Vietnamese food. Their portions are generous and all the dishes I've tried so far (and they are many) are flavorful and delicious. I love the eggrolls wrapped in traditional rice paper. They are huge and can be a meal by itself if you don't share. Most often I come here to eat family style so I can eat a variety of dishes. Their catfish in clay pot goes well with sweet and sour soup (canh chua). The crispy fried noodles with beef and seafood is excellent. The pork sandwich (banh mi thit nuong) is a must to try. There are so many dishes that are good I can't list them all. Just come and try for yourself and you will be hooked. The place is family owned and you can see the staff always willing to help get what you need to make your meal enjoyable.

I've been coming here more often ever since the remodel. I appreciate that they have dishes here that I usually drive to chinatown for. This is the closest location I can get decent caramelized catfish. They cooked it for 15 minutes but I asked it to be cooked again; I wanted mine to be more caramelized. For the amount you get, the price was fair. The catfish did have a bit of strong fishy taste but it's not uncommon. The spring rolls are okay, there wasn't anything different or special besides the ingredients being fresh. The staff were great! I was checked up on very often. (Could be due to not being that many customers at that time)
