QQ Star China Cafe — Restaurant in Friendswood

Below is a description of why I am giving this place a 1 star.

I called QQ Star China Cafe and ordered 1 serving of "H1" (Beef with Sar Char Sauce), white rice and a beef fried rice and two orders of egg rolls. I paid for my order and brought it home and found that the "H1" had green peppers in it. This "H1" dish is was for my wife. She is allergic to peppers and her mouth, tongue and throat break out in painful blisters when she eats chuncks of pepper. I called up QQ Star Star Cafe and talked to Chris about the issue and told him that the menu does not say anything about peppers and I explained to him about my wife's allergy to peppers and his exact words in response to that was "What do you want me to do about it?". I was so surprised at his response, that I told him to just update his menu. And then I ended the phone conversation with him. I went inside to pick the peppers out of my wife's food thinking it would help but she told me it wouldn't so I just ended up offering my food to her. As I sat eating my food I just kept thinking over and over about that conversation and his cold blooded response, I decided to call them back and ask for the manager who ended up not being there because "he is out on a delivery". Chris told me that he would call his manager and ask him about the menu item. He did and Chris called me back saying that they would replace the meal free of charge. So I will be headed back to get my "H1" without peppers but this will be the last time I show my face in that business. I am glad that they are finally agreeing to give me the correct meal but I am still appalled at the thought of his statement and that is my reason for this complaint for at least the employee (Chris) for not carrying about a food allergy.

Absolutely love this place! It's my partner and my favorite place to get order out Chinese from in the friendswood area and we've probs been ordering take out monthly for the past year or so tbh

Tonight was my fist time eating here, and I defiantly will NEVER go back. One of our all time favorites is Spring Rolls. The tasted like they were fried in dirty oil. They had a significant taste that was not good! Then we got the Mango Chicken with fried rice. I've never seen such a small amount of rice given ever.
