As part of my journey exploring matcha spots around the DFW area, I decided to give Heritage Coffee a try, hoping to be impressed by their hot matcha latte. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t quite meet my expectations. The matcha-to-milk ratio was off — it leaned heavily toward the milk, which diluted the bold, earthy flavor I was looking forward to. It also lacked any froth or texture, which made the drink feel a bit flat.
I had specifically asked for cardamom matcha latte , but I couldn’t taste it at all. The subtle spice that cardamom typically brings was completely missing, which was disappointing, especially since it was something I was genuinely excited about.
Overall, the drink was okay, but nothing stood out. The café itself didn’t leave much of an impression either — nothing particularly unique or memorable about the atmosphere, service, or presentation. I always try to support local businesses and offer honest feedback, and while this wasn't a bad experience, it just wasn’t one that would bring me back. There are many great spots in DFW for matcha lovers, and I’d recommend exploring a few others before settling...
Read moreI came today for their soft opening and let me just say, this is my next go to coffee spot. I had their cardamom matcha latte and pistachio croissant and the flavors were immaculate. The matcha is rich and creamy, yet not too overpowering. It’s the perfect balance of sweetness and matcha flavor and the cardamom adds the perfect touch of flavor. I was blown away. The croissant was one of the best I’ve had at any coffee shop, and the service was top tier. You can tell that the owners are very knowledgeable and put so much care and thought into every cup that they make. I love the twist of modern and traditional flavors and the whole place is just so cozy and makes for the perfect hangout or study spot. Not to mention that the prices are so reasonable compared to other Yemeni coffee shops. Let’s just say that I will DEFINITELY be...
Read moreThis Yemeni owned coffee shop has nailed everything, from entry to exit. Walking in I was warmly greeted by the barista who helped to explain and recommend their espresso drinks.
The honey latte, pistachio latte (they make their own pistachio milk with no sugar or BS preservatives) and honey lavender latte were all fantastic.
The pistachio milk cake was so delicious and almost refreshing. The cheesecake was unbelievable! The flavors were so rich and balanced and simply worth traveling to try! The sticky bun was amazing but honestly my 3rd favorite of all the desserts, which is saying something because it’s better than 99% of coffee shop pastries out there.
Take the time to pull off and stop in and say hi to these extremely nice people, enjoy unique and delicious espresso drinks and even better pastries! Will be...
