Disappointed—Not the Experience We Expected
This was our second visit to this location, though we’ve been to the one in Old St. Augustine several times and have always had a great experience there. Unfortunately, the Orange Park location has been a major letdown both times.
On our first visit, we were served by a woman whose demeanor completely drained the energy from the room. She was cold, unwelcoming, and made the ordering process feel uncomfortable. We decided to give it another shot, hoping it was just an off day. Sadly, our second visit—today—was more of the same. Same server, same negative energy, and still no sense of hospitality.
To make matters worse, she was the only server working during a busy time. That’s on management. If staffing is being cut for the sake of profit, then shame on the restaurant—because it clearly affects the customer experience.
The food itself was good, which makes it even more frustrating. But service matters. At one point, while taking our order, the server walked away to seat another group. Who does that? We waited too long to be acknowledged, felt unwelcome throughout, and the atmosphere was anything but enjoyable.
We won’t be coming back. There’s a far better Peruvian spot just minutes away on San Jose. This one, sadly, just...
Read moreMy family had heard of this opening up very recently, and wished to try. Was unaware there are some other locations, but this location is much closer for us. It is Peruvian Inspired, and sounded interesting, and when arrived, not too difficult to find parking... Our hostess was amazing, she was very friendly, helpful explaining menu if needed, and checked with us pretty often if we were doing well and needed anything (as well as assisting other tables)! The menu was very extensive, with something for just about everyone! Most dishes seem to be healthy, but would certainly look forward to trying more dishes! The appetizers, and meal itself tasted fantastic, and portions were excellent (very filling). Some menu items vary in price ($10 - $40 approximately), however, the quality of food (mostly organic or natural), how well food was prepared, and portions, I feel is worth a visit! The atmosphere is very nice and relaxing or welcoming. Whether coming for drinks and appetizers, or quality food and dessert, would highly...
Read moreOMG!!! In a word "Amazing" food and service! For those seeking Peruvian cuisine. Tucked away in a quaint corer of Orange Park, this charming restaurant offers a delight culinary experience without breaking the bank. The menu has a variety of traditional Peruvian dishes, each bursting with a flavor and made with fresh, high-qualify ingredients.
We had the traditional "Chupe de camarones" (Shrimp soup), ceviche, and Lomo Saltado. My husband said we are coming back tomorrow. Good portions, you will not be hungry.
Since we are familiar with Peruvian cuisine did not need to ask our server about the dishes. However, we heard how well she explained to other patrons the menu and assisted them creating a customized. dinner options. The stuff was courteous and helpful.
This restaurant surpassed all of our expectations. You don't frequently discover a setting where everything fits together so well. I'll suggest it to everyone on my...
