Café Cultura — Restaurant in Fullerton

I recently visited cafecito cultura in Fullerton with high hopes for, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a disappointing experience. The atmosphere was inviting, and the menu looked promising, with a variety of traditional dishes that seemed like they would deliver the authentic flavors I was craving. However, when the food arrived, it was a letdown. The flavors were muted, with bland salsas and lackluster seasoning that left the dishes tasting uninspired. The portions were also surprisingly small, especially considering the high prices. Cafe Cultural has a nice, cute setup in a very visible location, but for a Mexican café it feels very Americanized. I ordered a steak quesadilla and a medium coffee, and honestly, the experience was disappointing. The quesadilla came out soggy and dripping, while the coffee was just average. For the extremely high prices they charge, the quality isn’t worth it.

With two other restaurants right next to it, Cafe Cultural doesn’t compare, especially when the competition offers better value and taste. I accidentally came here before the grand opening for the first time during the friends and family event, but everything was great! We ordered the breakfast torta, cajeta french toast, el famoso breakfast burrito, cajeta latte and dulce de leche latte! They were all so good. I came a second time today and unfortunately it wasn’t as good. We got the famoso burrito and it didn’t taste the same maybe because it was missing the chipotle aioli.
