Normally, I love Wushiland and have no issues with getting it. However, today was a completely different story.
I bought two drinks at 11:04, a few minutes after opening. Then, after waiting a few minutes, I was told that the green milk tea batch was bad and they'd have to remake it. I told them I was fine with waiting the ten minutes that they told me.
I then watched them make my other drink and set it on the counter. Ten minutes goes by, no milk tea update. Twenty minutes go by, still no update and the other drink still just sitting there on the counter. I decided, by the thirty minute mark, waiting for the drink was not a good use of my time.
I ask for a refund. Turns out: if you use the kiosk to order, they can't refund you at the front. So we wait for a lady to finish her order at the kiosk before they proceed to refund me. But here's the kicker: no receipt for the refund. You just have to trust them that they'll refund you in a couple of days. Why does it take a couple of days to give me back my money when taking it only took seconds?
No idea. But this last interaction here has left a really bad taste in my mouth and I probably won't be returning to this location...

If you look at their menu, it tends to be fun, sweet and colorful. Everything has some form of sweetened milk, cream, ice cream or juice in it. These are sweet to begin with. If you also add on extra sugar, even if it's only 30% or 50% reduced sugar, it gets way too sweet. That I do not appreciate, but I understand younger generations may love it. My toddler daughter loves their BBT! Super sweet and many have no caffeine!
Middle aged Asians like me prefer simple high-quality tea, but they only have a couple to choose from. All of them tend to be too sweet on people who seek low-sugar diet. Tasty nonetheless, but best for younger people who have sweet tooth (and no concern for sugar intake). I will come back to get something for my daughter, but I will be back to my fav tea place that brews real tea instantly for my own tea...

We got 2 ice cream earl grey teas, a roasted oolong milk tea, and orange grapefruit yakult. Earl grey was my favorite!!! It tasted realllyyyyy good. The ice cream was a good touch too! First time I went, the mini boba was sold out but second time I got to eat it and aaaaa it was so good. I used to go all the time in the San Diego location and I missed it once I moved up here. The mini boba is seriously so so good! The service was great too despite being busy and the ambiance of grand opening was fun! They have balloons adorning...
