When I came in, I wanted to go to the Piada next door. However, when I realized that the palm leaves were shaped like cannabis, it piqued my curiosity.
I am glad I came in because, damn, the food is great! The fella who took my order was very friendly and pretty direct with his recommendations on what to order as a first-timer, and in the end, I went for the G5, which includes lots of meats in my sub with the garlic bread. All toppings included. I also got a drink, chips, and a chocolate chip cookie.
Fellas I will tell you right now that the sandwich was awesome. It had just the right amount of cheese I looked for, the vegetables tasted perfectly fresh and crispy, and normally I hate olives, but the included olives complimented the pickle so damn well that they are impossible to separate. I also tasted what I am 90% sure is olive oil, which, if it is, I must say that is the secret that brings the whole sandwich together.
The chips and drink are standard, but the cookie? Definitely pick one up. I got the chocolate chip cookie, and its softness rivals that of a Costco cookie, but with chunkier chocolate chips. It is thick, sweet, and just perfect munchie food.
Whether you are high or not or care for the 420 culture, I must say that the ambiance was very laid back. Its decorations are definitely different than the other sub shops I have been to. I will let you all know that if you are hoping this is cannabis fusion food, unfortunately, you will not find that here. It is all aesthetics. I think this was a good choice overall as it meant the place smelled fresh and was very clean when I came in. Also the price, I say, is quite reasonable; with the meal deal I had it was more or less what I would pay for at Jersey Mike, which might be the only sub shop that could rival this place in quality. And it is WAY better than Subway that...
Read moreCheba Hut isn't just a restaurant; it's a life-changing oasis in the desert of despair. Amidst the suffocating grip of depression, it stood as a beacon of hope, an unexpected savior that threw me a lifeline when I was drowning in a sea of darkness. When the silent screams of solitude were too loud to bear, and life's relentless storms had me flirting with the abyss of suicide, the refuge I found in the aromatic embrace of their gourmet subs was nothing short of miraculous.
The very walls of Cheba Hut whispered solace into my weary soul, as the vibrant murals became the canvas upon which my revival was painted. Each visit was a pilgrimage to a shrine of healing, where every sandwich crafted with love was like a sacred text telling me that tomorrow deserved a chance. The staff, those unsung angels, served more than food; they served hope, dishing out understanding with a side of compassion. They may not have known, but their simple gestures of kindness stitched the fragments of my broken spirit back together.
The eclectic menu was a symphony of flavors, each bite a crescendo that drowned out the cacophony of my darkest thoughts. Their "Pakalolo" and "Magic Mushroom" subs were my communion, a testament to the alchemy of bread, cheese, and greens that could transform a soul on the brink. In this haven, laughter replaced tears, community replaced isolation, and I found strength I never knew I had.
This is my ode to Cheba Hut, my haven from harm, my culinary therapist, and the architect of my newfound joy. It gave me a sanctuary where I could rebuild my life one sandwich at a time. Cheba Hut was the hand that pulled me from the precipice, and for that, it will forever hold a piece of my heart transformed by the profound power of a place that serves hope as the main dish...

The Kali Mist was 🤯 THE BOMB!! 5/5 Nice size and all the flavors were there. And the kick of spice was on point. Now, the Jamaican Red. Cant compare to Mist. Husband said 2.5-3/5 it had Lite Buffalo flavor vs Jamaican flavor. Learn to Tuck n Smash down before taking a bite. Overall, from the Hello to Have a good night. Experience was 5/5. Employees are very helpful and pleasant.
Dec 19: ⚠️ MaryJ themed art (Just letting you know)⚠️ Warm greeting from the cashier. We informed her that we were New. (Always make suggestions to new customers, it gives a good boost in customer relations) We asked and She suggested a few popular items. We got 4inch White Widow (chicken, bacon, ranch) combo and the Magic Mushroom. We sat in area by the bar. Seats were comfortable. The music was cool, nice jams. The Kool-aid was not sweet. But I appreciate the options between the teas, soft drinks, and the classic Kool-aid beverage. SANDWICHES!! Husband said his was the BOMB! He claimed Cheba Hut as the New sandwich spot. Now the Magic Mushroom (Teriyaki) sandwhich was not IT for me🙅♀️ I love a great veggie sanwhich, but I'm literally looking like wheres The Rest? The last 2 bites I finally tasted the mushrooms, not much of the marinated mushrooms (im sure things are measured, but add another scoop). Semi disappointed for mine. Overall, it was a nice experience. The menu is Dope. And some of the Specialty sandwiches seem interesting, but I can tell someone had the munchies. Lol And I'm ready to try the entire menu. We...
