Urban Bird Hot Chicken — Restaurant in Fulshear

Came in at 1pm on a Friday for take out. There was only one other customer in the restaurant at the time. I asked the cashier if the sando came with the kale slaw in it or if it was a side bc it sounded good she said it was a side and i could get whatever I want even though it says kale slaw, so I said I'd take it. She asked me what drink I wanted and I said I didn't want a drink. She looked confused and said it came with it. I asked her if just getting the side was cheaper than the combo and she insisted it was the same. I asked her to cancel the combo and order the sando with side instead.... turns out its cheaper that way. It was less than a dollar, not a big deal but not worth the deception either. I asked her which sauce she liked and she said that she didn't really like any of them! I also ordered a tender basket.

Waited a solid 20 mins for the food before asking how much longer. She asked if I ordered two sandos...I told her no, a sando and a basket. They said that they still needed to make the tenders. So 30 minutes after arriving, I walked out with my food. In that time only one other customer (the one who was there before I got there) and three door dash orders were fulfilled. Several other customers placed orders but weren't served either.

The sando was lukewarm and completely soggy. The sweet potato fries in the tender basket was cold, only the tenders were still fresh. Also the slaw came in the sando so she had me order an extra side of it for nothing. Flavor was decent and I'm sure the food would have been good when fresh, but utterly terrible service and wait time, better off going...

Not all chicken is made the same!!!! There are plenty of choices when you are hankering for some chicken- but after our experience…. These chickens must graze in a special part of heaven before they are seasoned and served fresh, hot, and succulent to your awaiting taste buds.

You can also get sweet potato fries if you don’t think the regular kind are your jam.

Angels descended from heaven, the clouds parted, and I had to remove my shoes because this was holy ground I was walking on.

My wife was very happy that you can choose your level of spiciness, so don’t just think that it is ONLY spicy.

The bun was “don’t squeeze the Charmin” soft. The chicken was so big, and juicy, and slamming hot that it sounds like I am describing something from a dirty movie….. get your head out of the gutter.

Sauce varieties CHECK! Spicy level variety CHECK! Bread that is soft and buttery like a Texas toast pillow. CHECK! Flavorful cole slaw CHECK! Fries OH YEAH! House made pickles. AMAZING! (& I hate pickles!)

If your mouth has been blah and is in need of a party, come here and revel in the chicken glory!

I must have commented 3 times during my meal to my wife how...

I had an extremely disappointing experience here. This is the second horrible experience at this location and after this, I will not give this location another chance. It seems as if the staff is incapable of preparing orders with simple modifications properly. There was no manager on duty and the staff could not process a return after a mistake was made. After attempting to correct the mistake, more than 50 minutes had passed. By then, the entire order was cold and not edible. My husband left and arrived home with cold food. I returned to the Urban Bird with the order to speak with a manager. There was still no manager present. After about 20 minutes the order was remade. I am appreciative that the order was remade but this entire ordeal took almost two hours to fix. Initially, my husband arrived to urban bird 3:30pm. By the time I had the order remade and returned home, it was 5:15pm. This is extremely unacceptable and after all of that, I had lost my appetite. ⚠️ Beware if you visit this...
