Coco Crepes & Coffee — Restaurant in Fulshear

This was the absolute worst experience I've ever had at a coffee shop! I'm so angry.

Today is my birthday and I came in to get a simple chai tea in a cup of hot water. I was offered $10 as a birthday coupon and decided to redeem all $10 so I added two macaroons for $5 to my order making it a total of about $9. However the incompetency of the woman running the register was so bad that she ended up trying to charge me for the macaroons told me to hit select on the POS system before the macaroons were added to the transaction and then the other co-worker did not know what he was doing they both were speaking Spanish to each other, i could hardly understand their thick accents as they were explaining things unnecessarily to me and keeping me there for almost 30 minutes for a small tea and two macaroons.

Absolutely unbelievable and I will never come to this location ever again. Also the manager was nowhere to be found and unavailable by phone with three employees standing around the register system like it was The DaVinci Code they could not crack.

And then! It gets even worse.

After standing there for 30 minutes with my tea now completely cold, I asked her to remake it to go and upon receiving my tea and opening the lid, the entire bag had been dropped into the boiling water and there was absolutely no room for me to add any cream or sugar.

And then I asked her to remake it so that I could steep my tea bag and then remove it properly when the time came. However she proceeded to take the bag out of the water and pour my old tea into a new cup leaving room for me to add cream and sugar. I now had to tell her to remake it for the THIRD time with leaving the tea bag accessible for removal and leaving room for cream and sugar.

I have never met somebody so incapable of making a simple cup of tea!!!

What a terrible experience and total waste of time and energy on my birthday nonetheless. I wish I had never even gone 🤦🏼‍♀️😫

UPDATED To add on top of this horrible experience, later that day the owner called my personal cell phone number and left me a voicemail and text message offering to make it right. This WOULD be a good thing to do, HOWEVER, he had ABSOLUTELY NO RIGHT to call my PERSONAL CELL NUMBER from the sign up points system I agreed to. That is solely for the purpose of promotion and automated offers, not personal calls. COMPLETELY...

I have been to Coco Crepes many times, usually after 3 p.m. and I always encounter friendly service from owners & employees, until today.

Came at 2:00 p.m. and the place was empty, just 4 of us. I came to tell my friends about this place. The cashier lady at the counter that was working on 08/31/2022, was extremely unpleasant. There were a few carton menu displayed to the right of the counter, and one of the menu was Moroccan soup. I asked very nicely if they have the soup for today. Instead of just answering with a yes, we have it, she replied with a very nasty tone, and she said If the MENU is out there, it means we have it. The tone of voice was unprofessional to the least. I asked my friends later if they heard her tone, and two did not hear, but one did. Was it so hard to just answer plainly? It was not even busy, we were the only customers at 2:00 p.m. This experience left a very unpleasant taste. I refused to put tip in the tip box, but after she left for the day, I placed a second order for to go, and I put tip in the cash jar. Honestly, she did not deserve my tip, and I would rather the rest of the crews (happened to be all male) get it.

By the way, the salad & crepes were excellent as usual. Just this nasty...
