Mad Pies Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Fultondale

This was my first time at this establishment and I wish I had been before now. I was with a fairly large group and went to see JTyme perform. We ordered 2 pizzas, an upside pineapple drink (not sure of the name), corn nuggets, and trash can nachos...all were delicious. The one pizza I ate had jamaican jerk chicken, white sauce, pineapple, and an excellent crust. Delicious! Will definitely order again. I didn't try the other pizza and wished i had, i dont even know the name, but everything seems different and I love that. None of it was the same old, same old. You know what I mean? I also had a blue Hawaiian and it was pretty good. A great time was had and this is a great place to get together with friends or see a show. I LOVE the giant skull in the pool room. It caught my attention more than once. I will say they may need more servers, bc I would have ordered more if I had been able to find my server a little more often. She took our order, brought the food, then disappeared. The band wasn't playing yet, so I'm confused if you are just supposed to go to the bar or what. She did however show up at the end after 30 minutes of searching and asking for her, but no one seemed to know who we were talking about though. But we had no ticket to pay, no tab, nothing. If we were not honest people, we could have eaten and drank for free. But, after our rousing game of hide and seek with our server, we finally found her and paid our tab. I know everyone has a bad day, I'm hoping this was just an "off" day for her. Minus her, we had a great time and the food is really pretty good. I will definitely be returning. Poor service. The seat yourself scenario doesn’t work if the servers aren’t observant. After waiting a bit I got up from the table to ask the bartender for menus. My husband sat with an empty cup majority of the time due to the server being occupied with talking to her friends at other tables. The pizza finally came out (everything took quite a while) it was made incorrectly. The ranch fries were uncooked and cold. No interest in returning. I worked service industry for over a decade & this place was a nightmare.

And to respond to your reply 10% is hardly consolation for a pizza taking a over an hour to be made correctly. And the remade pizza was barely cooked once we got home and looked at it. Why did still FROZEN fries leave the expo line in the first place? I looked around for anyone who looked like they may be a manager but from the way things are ran there it was apparent if there was a manager on site they didn’t see anything wrong with how service was going.

AND to ADD insult to injury my purse is COMPLETELY RUINED due to the table not being clean. My purse sat on one surface and now is covered in red dye on the bottom. Just awful. This is not a cheap purse and I am gutted. AVOID MAD PIES unless you like terrible service, dirty tables and...

My husband and I brought our son in for dinner on Friday night. We waited alittle over 15 minutes for them to take our order. We were the only people there that was ordering food. There was 3or4 people drinking at the bar. My husband ordered a pizza, bone-in wings, and corn nuggets. My son and I ordered 1 of each of the 5 tacos to share and fries. They came back and said they were out of done-in so he got boneless. My husband got all his food. He eat it slowly waited for ours to come out. He was finished when they noticed we didn't get our food. The waitresses was to busy talking to each other. We waited awhile longer and finally got them. I don't know if the kitchen staff are new and doesn't know the menu but they were not what the menus described. We never got our fries nor any refills for my son and husband's drinks.
