Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Fuquay-Varina

This was by far the worst experience I have had at an Applebee's. Can't get ahold of them to discuss this matter. This wasn't even my own order but an order I picked up for another person. Waited an hour and 15 minutes. After being checked in with the carside girl (positive note she was delightful and was trying her hardest to run this station with no management support). After I got checked in and saw other orders being taken to other vehicles I assumed by cognitive deduction that the order I was picking up would soon follow suite. However after 45 minutes and seeing other orders being delivered and drove off with my curiously piqued and went into the building where After another 15 minutes of standing and seeing the poor young carside server be verbally obliterated by other guests. I was finally offered a chance to learn the whereabouts of my order were to perchance be. Apparently this meant sitting on self for an extended amount of time. The poor flustered and still trying to be charming server handed my bag of items and in a very defeated manner " a have a nice". The food itself was cold and not very appetizing. I have worked for Applebee's before and I know the protocol if the wait is more then 15-20 minutes a manager on staff will usually come out to the vehicle and offered apologies and to remake the order if necessary out of goodwill. This location I don't even think had a manager on duty because the poor staff looked ragged amd just trying to make it through the night. Their phone number was dialed plenty of times and always come up with a busy signal probably from all the calls looking for the manager that was missing in action and not offering their employees some assistance on this probably busier then most nights but not overwhelmingly either night of business. Do yourself a favor and don't order carside to-go it's not worth it for you. It's not worth it for the managerless staff and you'll probably have better luck going through the ginormous Fuquay-Varina Chick Fil A drive through where it's always there pleasure to serve you that also probably has helpful managerial staff then to visit the Applebee's next door seemingly to onky by ran by hourly and tipped employees. Maybe this is a social distancing strategy but if it is then it's probably not working...

My sister and I went to the Applebees in Fuquay yesterday may 27 at 3pm the waiter (Ethan) never smiled at us .we ordered bacon cheese fries appetizer when we got it there was something black on top I asked if it was black bean or some spice he said bacon. He walked off and I called for him to come back I told him we could not eat that and asked for another one with good bacon he never apologized. He took our order I asked what kind of hot sauce do they have none on table he said he didn’t know never offered to check.. we placed our order about 10 minutes later while we were waiting he came and asked if we still wanted appetizer we said yes my sister tea cup was empty he didn’t offer refill then he came back about 10 minutes later told us they didn’t have no fresh cooked bacon so he didn’t ask if we still wanted appetizer. When we got our food (still no tea refill) we seen table next to us was delivered a plate of bacon cheese fries bacon looked good waiter Ethan was smiling with them I’m not racist but really felt he might of had issue with our skin color for him to not apologize or give drink refill i was a waitress for a long time so did my sister so we always tip good but we were so disgusted we didn’t leave a tip. I ordered the chicken lime rice bowl it was so dry no juice some hot sauce or dressing would of been nice but left uneaten on the table I wasn’t taking it home but never offered a container to carry it with me . The service and food there don’t deserve the...

So to the manager who took my order last night She decided to end curbside for the night, because I was African-American, She told me I needed to come in and get my food but she was unaware that an angel was already standing outside at the curbside prepared to take my order

To this young lady, who took my order and gave me the best curbside service I have ever experienced. I would simply like to say thank you for being exactly who you are it will not go unnoticed in life. She told me to enjoy my dinner, and that was that she even went back inside to get extra condiments for me, I was so exhausted mentally after a long day these are the people we need to continue to grow our economy. She had no idea what she did for me and how deep it touched my spirit and I just really am so humbled and so thankful for sweet spirited people like her she absolutely embodies , what this restaurant needs to represent their chain the manager and the curbside waiter need to switch positions she can learn a thing or two about simple, kind gestures. I can’t even put it into words how this young lady made me feel, but I will be returning with the hopes of running into her again , amazing work. She is doing for this restaurant.
