This place used to be my favorite go-to fast food joint - always speedy, precise and friendly. Now it is none of those things and gets worse with each visit. I usually stop a couple times a week after working late (10-11 PM), so the food options in this area are limited. In the past month or two, every time I stop here, at least one frustrating thing happens - for example, ordering a Cheerwine float and then getting only the soda with no ice cream because the cashier "only heard Cheerwine"; and being told three times in a row that they could not make watermelon shakes for one reason or another, when that is the July special.
Last night was the final straw. They managed to flunk at three things in one simple order, which may be a new record for the fast food industry! I pulled up and ordered a chicken strip combo, with a double-side order of cheddar cheese bites and a watermelon shake. The cashier told me that I needed to pick a different drink because their soda machine wasn't working. What? I was confused because I clearly did not order soda. Then she specifically said, "You can only get a sweet tea, unsweet tea, water or a shake." Maybe she didn't hear me, so I say, "Ok, I will have a watermelon shake, please." After a brief pause, she sternly repeats like I am a moron, "You can only get a sweet tea, unsweet tea, water or a shake." Apparently she does not understand that soda is not a milkshake ingredient. So to make things less complicated, I say water would be fine. Then she asks if I want anything else. I said, "Yes, please, I would also like a cheese quesadilla". She says ok and I pull up to the window. I pay, get my water, and she hands me the tray. I see the foil wrap from the quesadilla sticking out of the tray, which was weird because this was separate from the tray and they usually don't pack food like this, but whatever... and I drive away. On the road, I open the tray and there are just a couple of cheese bites. Apparently, the folks there decided to NOT give me the double-order of cheese bites that I ordered, and gave me a single serving with the second side item being the cheese quesadilla. So now I am starting to get furious - the cheese bites were for my wife, and I was going to eat the quesadilla. In my head, I debated about going back but decided to be cool and just go with it. But then it managed to get worse, completing the hat trick of epic failure - I open the quesadilla wrapping and gooey cheese pours out all over my hand. I look down, and they gave me a disgusting pile of soggy french fries smothered in cheese. Does "cheesy fries" somehow rhyme with "cheese quesadilla"? How am I even supposed to eat this mess while driving!? I have so many questions. I was ready to go back with the receipt and get my money back, but I just drove home because it wasn't worth the...
Read moreAbsolutely pitiful experience tonight!!! First off, when i go to give him some quarters after the bills i gave him, almost all of the change goes right Into his hand and then right back out! It was almost skilled how the change was right in his hand and then it basically launched back out. Oh well, whenever a cashier in a drivethru drops some change, they always say don't worry about it, and then they come out later to get it, but not this guy! I believe his name was Nathan, and the rude jerk told me to give him more! So i had to pull forward, hold up the line, and get out of my car to find the change, something I've never had a fast food worker ask for! Turns out, he dropped it right in this deep crack almost 2 inches deep, and they were impossible to get without tweezers or something. I tell him about it, and he basically just shrugs it off and says "oh well"! So rude! He's the one who dropped it, not me! So he starts to go take another order thru his headset, completely ignoring me, and i tell him i need to see a manager, which he nods but does nothing! I had to yell to get a manager, which after a few times yelling for one, he just shuts the window on me! I never got a manager, but finally after banging on the window he gave me time to explain how it was not my fault that he dropped the money, not me, and how i could not get it in the very deep crack, and how either way it was his responsibility to come back after they close to pick up the change that he dropped and not mine! Finally, after several minutes of arguing with this punk, i got my food and the correct amount of change! If that guy wasn't brand new to working, and maybe even if he was, he deserves to be fired, which i hate saying about anyone but i think he deserves it with how he treats customers. That's just no way to treat a customer Nathan!!!
I was hoping that was going to be the worst part, but sadly it wasn't, this "chicken quesidilla" i got, if u can even call it that, was essentially just a plain tortilla folded in half! These are my favorite things from cookout, i was really looking forward to it, but there was ZERO chicken in it and not even 1/4th as much cheese as there should have been! That was horrible!!!! If i wasn't I an Uber and it didn't cost me $20 too come back to get it replaced and get back home, i wound have complained and got it replaced, but not for $20, so i was stuck with it! So yeah, i'm pretty mad at this cookout...
That was the worst cookout experience i have ever had, and if they dont step their game up A LOT, i will never be back again and I'll drive the extra distance to 40/42!
That was pathetic guys!!! Yall need to either get rid of or just train these guys a lot better, soecifically Nathan and the person who gave me a plain tortilla and called it a "chicken quesidilla"...
Read moreI swore I would never come here again. But my friend and I were hungry. First, as we pull up to the window, my friend wanted to add a milkshake to our order, the guy goes "sorry I'm not allowed to do that, but I can do it if you go around to the pick up window" uh noo.. because there is always 30 + obnoxious teenagers around. So then, someone over the intercom told us our total was $25.70. So we're at the window and are trying to pay with a cash app card that had $25.50, and I had given the extra .20 cents in change. Then the guy swiped the card and takes the .20 cents but card declined because someone told us the wrong total which was $25.53. So my friend says please use my cash app card for the $25.50 and her debit card for the rest of the 3 cents. Idk if the black lady standing next to the guy was the manager or what. But she kept yelling at him to give her the card that my friend had just given to him. And basically ended up screwing us and just basically charged the full amount to my friends debit card instead. Which obviously we did not want to happen. As my friend SPECIFICALLY STATED, to use her debit card just for the three extra cents. I don't care what needs to be done, but cook out corporate NEED to do something about this franchise location. You think you all are funny if you're going to on strike and demand to get paid $17-20/hour if you do not know to perform excellent customer service. Not only that, screwing is over once again as we freaking asked for CAJUN FRIES! Not regular. So sick of attitudes and rudeness. Need to know how to act and grow up and start doing your job. At least act like you like your job, if you don't like it, then to find somewhere else to work and not be screwed at a place you don't like. ...
