Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Gadsden

Hours of service are inaccurate. 2 days in a row I found Popeyes closed early.

On 12/30/21, I attempted to call an order in and pay up front to ensure that I had something to eat for the night, first problem was they didn't bother to answer the phone, secondly I arrived at 8:55 pm to find the doors already locked with closing time listed as 9 pm.

Today on 12/31/21 at 5:50 pm, I was stopping by to complain to the manager about what happened, I didn't expect the 6 pm holiday hours, but I can understand that. However although the door was unlocked, the employees had apparently already decided to close early once more. I requested to talk to the manager, but my impression is that he is the one responsible for the early closures.

I guess count on this location closing up to 30 minutes early. Truck drivers count on restaurants being open according to their schedules or we are out of luck for our dinner for the night. This is disrespectful to your customers and pathetic to do if you are the only restaurant at a truck stop. Fix yourself or just post the hours that you plan to bother cooking food.

After reading the other reviews, maybe I was lucky to not be able to get food from this Popeyes. Plus it sounds like they already tried changing the hours of service, except the manager just keeps closing earlier anyways. Maybe it is time to change managers before he drives this location out...

Is it because we are all over the country and more than likely, we might forget how awful your food and service is? You think we will repeat a visit into your dank, rude and gross restaurant? My chicken was so over cooked it hardly had any moisture to it. It sat for so long it nearly made me sick biting into it. Shrimp was pathetic and honestly, the only thing I consumed in whole was the gallon of tea. Better off getting out of the business of feeding people if you’re not going to maintain a simple company standard of food service. You here at this location has moved me to bypass Popeyes all over the country. Great job! That’s how piss poor your employees are, your food prep and care is. That’s a lofty achievement in just one visit. But, if corporate lets you operate in such a pathetic manner. I’m betting the rest of the satellites or units what ever vernacular you use is are just as piss poor! I’m embarrassed for you. Please close your doors and let a responsible restaurant open in your place. One whom cares for the hard working men and woman working away out on the roads. The fact that most drivers are vulnerable to having to purchase food on the road isn’t a license for you to serve food that should have been thrown out 3 days prior! You nasty! You’re gross and I hope like...

I wish I could give ZERO stars. This dive is in a truckstop. No $5 meal deal here. U want a 2pc? It's $8.29 here plus tax..... 9 bucks!!!! And, that's not even their 2pc dinner!!! That costs even more!!! That's insane. This is just another one of those predatory franchises that setup in truckstops and preys on the trucker. That's okay. Cuz they're about to build a Jack's right next door. I hope they put the owner of this franchise out of business and he loses it all. That's what I think of this kind of person that gouges. Good riddance!!!!!

Update: Jack's is now open. Popeyes still trying to sell their 2pc combo for North of $11.00!!! Walked across the street, bought a 3pc fried chicken dinner from jack's w/ 2 sides and biscuit for $6.99.
