Thursday night. 7pm. Waitress on receipt says Hayden. Food not as good as on weekend. Last weekend. Had same meal. It was fresh and hot. Not tonight. Hamburger steak with gravy, onions and mushrooms. Mashed potatoes and green beans. The hamburger steak was hard but hot. The mashed potatoes and green beans were barely warm. The mashed potatoes are usually real, fresh mashed potatoes but not tonight. They were instant and crumbly. Nothing had seasoning and tasted bland. The green beans had specks of bacon, but otherwise, were just as bland as the potatoes. Discovered that I was charged .99 each for gravy, onions and mushrooms and it looked like two tablespoons of gravy, same of mushrooms but only four tiny slices of grilled onions. My Hamburger Steak special went from 10.99 to 13.96 before tax. My husband had Hamburger Steak, no add ons, fresh fries and slaw. His steak was dry and hard. His fries were hot. His slaw tasted bitter. Neither of us finished our meal. I had to ask for tea because y soda tasted like soap. Our waitress said it was the glass. It wasn't, it was the soda syrup. She was slow. Very slow and forgetful. It took her almost fifteen minutes before pur order was ever taken but she saw us seated and she saw me watching her. Our glass sat on the side of the table through most of our meal. She only had three tables. It took her many minutes before I was able to flag her down to ask for a refill. She was pouring tea at her third table and I had to call out to her as she turned her back on the other two tables and was going back to the order order counter with the tea. We were there an hour and a half just waiting for this waitress to do her job. She was tipped 2.00. Her tip started at 7.00 and we deducted each time we had a long, ignored wait. The table behind us didn't tip for same reasons. Clock, you can do better than this. Your food should always be fresh and hot and your waitresses should always be polite and be fast and efficient, not aloof and act like you could care less about...

Read moreA clean restaurant with stylish decor and a cozy diner, however my experience was the worst. Two friends and I stumbled into this place and what we ordered was either overcooked or undercooked. Chicken was dry and the skin was too hard and crunchy. The macaroni tasted like it was just reheated. My friend wasn’t expecting a sausage and a freaking tomato in a Philly Cheese Steak he ordered, and even the appetizers were bland.
Our waitress was visibly confused and somehow unintentionally rude - as if she just lacked basic customer service skills. I.E. telling us to wait while she serves another customer adjacent to us. The restaurant wasn’t even that busy and there were more waitresses around. All of this could have been forgiving, maybe, IF THE STAFF AND WAITRESS DIDN’T NEGLECT OUR DEBIT CARDS ON THE COUNTER.
Our debit cards were taken by the waitress for nearly ten minutes and so we went to the front counter to find our debit cards face down, in plain sight on the counter top where customers were standing, and our waitress who should have been handling them was onto another service - totally forgetting about us. We felt paranoid not having our debit cards on us for such a long duration of time and to be carelessly left on the counter for any prying eyes to see or possibly snatch up! It was absolutely unorganized and that waitress... well, she didn’t even tell us her name.
We left 0 tips and left unfulfilled and I’m now at home eating a sandwich for dinner. Nice.
Also... Clock? I don’t get it. What a forgetful name and sadly, I’ll never forget...
