Captain D's — Restaurant in Gainesville

The lady who is always in the drivethru is amazing. I regret that I have been slacking on my reviews and did not remember her name but next time I will do a review just on her...she's that good. I have specific requests because of my diet and she worked it several different ways ringing it up to save me the most money. A lot of places figure if you don't know how the deals work...that's your problem. Not her. Actually, I'm going to call them right now and ask for her name...hold on a sec...her name is Sheila!!! She's great!!! Any way the food that I ordered was 1pc of grilled Tilapia and 2 grilled shrimp skewers with no rice. Green beans and broccoli were my sides I didn't get to eat it until I got home and when I opened the box.....wait for it.... everything was individually wrapped in foil to keep it hot. Wow! Of course the green beans and broccoli were in styrofoam containers but everything was still very warm at least. It was delicious. I love Captain D's original crispy battered fish...a lot... But I'm glad that I can still eat here and have healthier choices. Every time my wife and I come here it is great. If y'all are not already you should be a training...

Updated 12/3/19...I went to the company corporate website as their reply indicated (below) but no further response from anyone at Captain D's...apparently their reply to my review here wasn't meant to be taken seriously.

I’ve eaten at many Captain D’S in my lifetime but my experience at this location was very poor today. I believe the AC is broken, the restaurant felt to be about 80 degrees inside and the parking area is very limited. I will say that the cashier was friendly and my order was correct but when I took a bite of my white fish I found a long WORM in the fish. I asked for my money back, the “manager” had the cashier refund my money with NO concern about the worm in and no apology...she seemed annoyed that I brought to their attention quite frankly. Will not be visiting this...

I went to the drive thru and the lady at the window had a beautiful smile I asked her name and she had told me that her name was Sarita she said politely and said she was the new general manager, I had ordered a spicy fish combo sandwich I went to give her my money it was around noon I have went inside last week as well I am a reg customer but I can let you know that now it's even better than before fast friendly and helpful after all I had to pull up and just go inside to see that woman she then shaked my hand and told me Merry Christmas to you and your family and God bless that's the kind of person I want to see she was an excellent and smiling face a keeper I will be back and family as well my order was ticket 0031 please keep people like her and her crew was on top...
