Stage 7 Karaoke Party Rooms & Bar — Restaurant in Gainesville

Had a good time, Great party, fun song, seriously had a blast. Until I got home and thought about how much I was charged and what the worker had told me. I'll give you the break down and you can decide for yourself.

The guys said your bill is $84. I said what was I chaged and he stated I was charged 2 people for 3 hours at $4 an hour. ($24) He said that we had 7 drinks. We drank 3 mikes hard lemonades and 3 blue moons and one bud light. The bud light should have been $3 and the other $4. That comes to a total of $27 for drinks. 24+27=51. Now I was drunk when I left so I was not thinking about this but I did say that seemed like a lot and he took off $20 for ladies night as my friend was a woman. which some how made my new total $62. Which is still a far cry from $51.

When I got home and started thinking about it and punching numbers into a Calc, I got quite upset. I called back and spoke to the guy who checked me out and he stated he understood my confusion and he would pull up my bill and he started adding it up and said it did not seem right. He asked me what he could do to make it right and I said "explain to me how my bill was anywhere near $62 let alone $84. He never did explain anything and just offered to give me $30 back. I obviously accepted that as $32 was a much more reasonable amount. But that does not change the fact that he tried to charge me that much in the first place.

Take this as at least a warning to make sure you know what you should be paying for and hold them accountable to charge you...

I went here for my birthday (7/3) and my 12 year old daughter and my 6 year old nephew accompanied the party. My 12 year old daughter is 5’6 and weighs about 150lbs. We were told upon arrival minors were free. Upon leaving and paying, I was told that I would be charged for my 12 year old because “we charge by obvious height” as if we were in line for a roller coaster or something. Needless to say, my 12 year old who already deals with insecurities due to being bigger than an average 12yr old balled her eyes out the entire way home because this place didn’t believe she was only 12yrs old. My 6 year old nephew because he looks to be 6 was free and honestly participated more than my daughter. Paying for my daughter wasn’t the issue, the issue was the discriminatory comments about obvious height. If a grown man is 4ft tall and looks to be 7yrs old, he’s free....but a 5’6 twelve year old is charged full price because of obvious height. Not okay and I WILL NOT be returning based on the way my daughter felt after leaving. My best friend who also attended the party (an attorney) stated that the individual at the front needed more training before he caused this place to have a discrimination lawsuit....

This place is a great idea and I would love to see it flourish and fulfill it's potential. It's not quite there yet.

Pros: It was fun being able to sing with friends in a private room and the fact that you can link to their Chromecast and choose songs from online is a great idea. Their selection of songs is pretty good as well. They have a good mix of American pop, Chinese, Korean, Japanese song. The rates for a room are good.

Cons: Their queue function is dysfunctional and we lost a whole list of songs. That would be no big deal, except that their search function sucks and it is difficult to find the songs you want. I wish they would have a better selection of...
