Chicken Bar - Peruvian Cuisine — Restaurant in Gaithersburg

I love this place and come here often for various food items. Yesterday on 9/14 i placed an order for picarones to pick up. Although this is unlike me, I had completely forgotten about them. Then today 9/15 I had 2 MISSED CALLS from a # and when I picked up on the 3rd call, i was scolded by a lady from this restaurant. She said in a very rude, condescending and scolding tone “cuando yo ordeno comida a mi nunca se me olvida.” she then proceeded to tell me that this happens to them often and that they’re trying to run a business here: I can completely understand being upset but to have called me 3 times at 10:30 am on a Monday while i am at WORK. I only picked up because i thought it was an emergency. But instead i got scolded for simply forgetting to pick my order up (which was just a single portion of picarones). I was genuinely apologetic and shocked when i first picked up but she still proceeded to scold me. This lady had no idea what my day consisted of that i even forgot about them to begin with. this was super unfortunate because i realllyyyyy love this place and the food is always amazing but this put a horrible taste in my mouth and i doubt ill...

My bf and I wanted to try Peruvian food and found this place. Unfortunately our experience did not meet any of our expectations

From the service (our server) could not communicate well enough with us which was a bit of a problem for us because we were new, next thing was the food. I had the Lomo Saltado and my partner had the Pan con Chiccharron, from our experience with eating chiccharron it’s supposed to be cripsy pork skin, that was not what we received. We also searched the food it self and it was described as “ crisp fried pork with fried slices of sweet potato and a type of quick-pickled onion condiment called salsa criolla in soft bread rolls” it was not worth the price which was $14 dollars the whole thing was Blunt no flavor unless you dip in on the sauces/condiments they offered before the meal same goes with the Lomo Saltado ($21) I was limited with the meat (containing 4-5 slices) with soo much fries(would not consider eating) I finished the meat before the rice it was that limited, they put a lot of sauce which didn’t even it out.

It was pretty disappointing to end our night with the food, service as well...

I always come to this place on Tuesday while my son is in soccer. However today I had a horrible experience. I was attended by server Ariana. She came by and asked me what I wanted to eat and I say picarones and a pisco sour. She said she didn’t have any picarones and I said no worries I’ll just take my drink. I gave her my drink order “pisco sour”, I was waiting for about 5 minutes before she came back without a drink and asked me what I wanted to eat again. I said I’m not sure I’ll just have the drink for now and I’ll take the check too. She told me she couldn’t just give me a drink, and I said what do you mean? By now I’ve sat there for 7 minutes just waiting without a drink or water. She said you have to order food…. That is something I have never heard. By this time time like I mentioned I’ve sat there for 7 mins, I could’ve been out half way done with my drink and they could’ve gotten a customer instead of turning down a customer while they’re trying to figure out if I could have a drink without food.
