My cousin decides to gather a group of us together for an impromptu activity on a Thursday night at this new restaurant...I resisted...she insisted... and am so glad I went! Had a lot of fun last night! Including some fun Karaoke and artistic painting outlet at a Jamaican restaurant serving authentic Jamaican cuisine with their Paint & Sip portion conducted by Natalie of NnMyLifeCoachCreations & her very very VERY helpful team joyfully supports the most novice of us thru the painting. In Island Pride's Oasis Mirage lounge they somehow very successfully combined yummy food and drinks of every kind with an everyone can do it mini guided painting exercise that has novices walking away feeling bonafide artists! And added to that you're painting and singing to great Jamaican well-known song as great background  music AND us just jumping up and doing Karaoke with the option of current pop song or Jamaican reggae favorites. Just jump up there in your artist painting smock and sing to your hearts content, then go back to your painting...whatever you want! The DJ preferred to call it his coined word of "Karajokie" instead of Karaoke, as a way of reminding us it's all in fun...no judgement here... so "don't worry bout a ting" just sing! Karaoke every Thursday night... If you're looking for fancy vaket parking, crystal chandeliers and linen tablecloths with tuxedoed wait staff... Nope. If you're looking for good authentic Jamaican Cuisine, near home and so much unapologetic fun you'll feel like a kid again...YEP, YEP & YEP! Paint & Sip with Friends & Karaoke every other Thursdays night, I think (but call them to verify...as I may be wrong)

When I say this place gives me L I F E E E !!! I don't care for their other location or the store.. But, this spot is everything!!! The chef is AMAZING. I repeat, AMAZING! My mom has a gluten allergy and he took the time out to not only sit with her to develop a firm understanding of her needs, but he came on his day off to cook for us for her birthday dinner! Now that is above and beyond!! Jerk tun up just like jerk chicken uh yawd!! It sweeeeeeettttt! I always get soo hype when the chef walks out! Like "yeahhh, you did that!!" ahaha, always gotta big him up!!! you can tell cooking is life for him!! Love it The waitress is soo cute and sweet. Her vibe and energy will keep the customers coming back! She always has a smile and always makes sure you do not need anything more. Bartender was lit on the drinks, lol. He as well makes sure you are good! It is a very laid back atmosphere, with an additional room to the side, if you wana have a dinner with your family. CALLING ALL CARIBBEAN MASSIVE- YOU NEED TO GET HERE ASAP!!! It's just like being home, I promise!!! Big up unnu selves, Oasis. Good customer service and banging food will keep us coming back for more <3

I just happened to stop in this place cause I was real hungry and just wanted to find some place that was open and not fast food. Plus I wanted to stop at a place that was close to where I was in the area. I ordered the curry chicken with cabbage and rice & peas as my sides. I also got a side order of plantains. It took me 40 min to get home and I couldn't wait to eat. I didn't even heat up the food. I took one forkful and the taste was so delicious I was amazed. Even cold this food was so good. It had the right amount of flavor, gravy and chunks of chicken (not all bone like most Caribbean places). The cabbage didn't even need vinegar and the plantains were perfectly ripe. Then came the drink. It was actually real homemade fruit punch. At $4 a bottle I thought it was pretty pricey but once I tasted it, I see it was worth the price. I wish I didn't live so far away, otherwise this would be my regular Caribbean food spot. When I want to treat myself. I will definitely take that 40 minutes drive.

The food was good but the service was lacking. It took 45 minutes to get our appetizers then another two hours for us to get our meals. Our party didn’t get to eat our food together because our meals were being served at different times- like 15 mins apart (due to there being only ONE COOK!) Management was very nonchalant and refused to apologize or offer any compensation. The mgr. refused to come to our table to apologize stating “they are not that type of establishment” and insisted that we go to them! They seemed to be very unorganized: 1) They gave our reserved table away to another party, so when we arrived we had to wait 15 mins for them to set-up another table. 2) They had tickets and money scattered all over the hostess table/ register. 3) By the time we were leaving they had people lined up almost out the door waiting to pick-up their carry out because they were so slow! Like I said thefood is good and the set-up is nice, but they need to get it together. If you’re in the restaurant you should at least practice basic customer service.

We decided to go there for a celebration but it turned out to be...
