Taco Bar — Restaurant in Gaithersburg

Not a big fan of their tacos, they are ok, but nothing extraordinary, but very affordable. Their tortas on the other hand are delicious, huge portions that are well prepared and cooked to perfection. The toppings bar is a plus that adds a small variety of sauces and chopped vegetables to make your eating experience that much delightful. I've tried some other dishes and they are ok but nothing great really. I highly recommend you get the Torta milanese with chicken, ask them to add the sausage and ham for a full blast of flavors that perfectly mix in your mouth and make you touch the sky and return to earth after you are done savoring each bite. Used to go to Olney spot quite often. But this location is chaos. Ordered food, paid, went home, found completely wrong order in my bag. Wanted carne asada, got carne asada fries... Drove back, returned what I had. Was told to wait 15 min for my meals. Come back in a few, cashier got an attitude with me because call taker messed up my order. Made me pay extra $10 because they messed up, whatever, charge me. Leave, go home again. Food is trash. Carne asada no salt no pepper, cooked on a pan it seemed. I cannot describe how much I love this hole in the wall place. I have fond memories of being a college undergrad, walking in the freezing cold and wind, to open the door and feel the warmth and smell of Taco Bar. I'd order, grab a drink and chips from the gas station, come back, sit down. Me and all the south american constriction workers who are there to pick up dinner, happy and grateful to be there. Their floor to ceiling windows offer a great sunset view if you sit and eat there. On lunch hours I have seen more foot traffic here than in the entire Crown shopping center. I hope they...
