Orange Cup Java Station — Restaurant in Galesburg

I’ve had the pleasure of talking to one of the owners of Orange Cup on the night that my sister and I did a Chunky Knit blanket class that Orange Cup was hosting at their Main Street shop. The owner came around and mingled with all of us. I think I’ve talked to her a handful of times. She’s always asked how everything is and how I’m doing. She has a very genuinely warm presence and always makes me feel welcome coming into the shop. I love Orange Cup’s advertisements on their Instagram, especially the funny/cute ones with both of the owners. They just seem like really nice people and I love seeing that! All of the baristas are very nice and always accommodating when I ask for kind of complicated drinks. As a prior barista, an espresso machine and equipment need to be clean! I've always pulled up facing north. Today I pulled in south.... Sadly I wish I had paid more attention as they made my coffee in the past.

The espresso shot glasses were nasty and just had some water sitting in them like that was going to get them clean?

Prior customer in north lane has 2% milk for their coffee (saw her pour it). I ordered nonfat and was told that's what was in steamer pot. Frothing wand was covered in old crusty milk and she put the pot back under the wand and steamed the milk more.

Sorry but I won't be returning. Sanitation is extremely important in this business. Why do you hunk the big brands have sanitizer soak cloths to clean equipment? Wanda should be cleaned every time between uses to not spread bacteria.

Usually don't like foo-foo coffees but my son does and I convinced him to try Orange Cup Java Station rather than going to pricey Starbucks. Well we waited in line with several cars and they seemed to keep the flow going pretty quickly. When it was our turn we pulled up to the menu and Jaymes and I had to peruse the menu and order on the spot. Lots to choose from and our server was super helpful with a smile that deserves 5 stars by itself! I ordered the York Peppermint Patty coffee and Jaymes ordered the Heath Bar coffee (I think) and he loved it!
