Honey Rock Books and Cafe — Restaurant in Gallatin

After spending 4-5 hours playing games and spending money at this store, our group of 10 was yelled at by a manager or owner for bringing outside food. Collectively, we spent 200 dollars at this store and tried to maintain an appropriate volume during our games. We were in the upstairs area and had brought in 2 pizzas. The owner-manager came up and yelled at us that we had to get out or pay 350 dollars. There was no delicacy in this intervention. We immediately took the food out of the store and were not belligerent at all. It should be illustrated that that there was not any warning that we could not bring in outside food and had already spent money here. Where do I begin? I waited longer than I should have to receive my drink, while everyone who ordered after me got theirs. Not to mention, while ordering, I was questioned about what I wanted and was treated like I did not know what I was talking about. Quite literally the only decent thing about this place is that they have books on shelves. The owner walked right by me and said nothing, when this was like the second day of opening. I know companies deserve grace periods, but every area was just lacking. Not to mention they hired my friend, then let her go, claiming it was just a trial period. Maybe communicate that better in the future. I look forward to the day we receive a Barnes and Noble or any other book store that can do...

Stopped in here for the first time, last week. The layout makes good use of the space without it feeling cramped, and the atmosphere is very laid back, warm, and welcoming.

I ordered the Cuban Sandwich (fantastic) and while I was waiting I perused their book offerings - I ended up finding a book I’ve had on my list for a while! Needless to say the selection of books is tasteful without being overwhelming.
