We have shopped in this boutique multiple times over the last 2 years and spent hundreds of dollars on children’s clothing. After the treatment today by the person working, never again. To say she was rude would be an understatement. I understand that not everyone understands an autistic child’s behavior, for those who don’t know, it can appear that the child is simply being unruly and parents are just allowing it. This could not be farther from the truth. After we had been shopping for the 2 children for a bit and picking out items to purchase, she came back to the back room, and began straightening items that had been touched, slamming things around, huffing and was clearly frustrated by her behavior and the looks she was giving. You would have thought that we had let the children run amuck and destroy the place. The area she was cleaning up in was never touched by any of us. It was that way when we came in to the store. It made my daughter, mother of the 4 yr old , very uncomfortable so she immediately stopped shopping and her and her husband took their already selected items to the register so that they could take their daughter out of the store. We obviously were not welcomed there. When our 3 families, who were all making purchases, went to pay for our items she behaved so rudely to each of us, I was in shock. I have always been very pleased with this little boutique and their service and the children have accompanied us in many times and they are always closely monitored by 1 parent as the other parent shops, if anything is touched it is promptly put back in place. If the 4 year old becomes a handful, as autistic children can when over stimulated, she is always taken outside at any store, restaurant etc. out of respect for other people. Our entire family loved this little shop and as stated before, we have spent hundreds of dollars for high priced children's clothing over the last 2 years but after todays treatment, no more. My daughter today alone paid $129.00 for 3 pieces of clothing for her 4 yr old. I purchased toys for both children, they were items that they actually touched. My other daughter paid $60 for a dress and headband for the 1 yr old. To be treated so poorly is unacceptable. When the mother of the 4 yr old went to her car in tears , her sister went back inside the store and respectfully told the lady the situation regarding a severely autistic child and a 1 year old and advised her she should try kindness. She rudely responded OK with obviously no remorse. Obviously, they have plenty of money and do not need our business any longer. We will take our $200 - $500 dollar at a time purchases to another boutique. Or, maybe our family should just open our own in the area, where everyone is welcome and treated kindly...
Read moreMy kids and I stumbled in while window shopping the square. We unexpectedly all found some items and tried them on. I didn't even realize it was closing time and we so rudely stayed past. The lady working there let us shop and didn't mention it was past 5. In general, I'd never do that to someone. We ended up buying an outfit each, as the prices are extremely affordable. Thank you and sorry for being THAT customer. Well be back, ...
