The waitress was lovely, food arrived quickly. Tables were clean. Due to covid they didn't have the first three things my mom ordered, which is understandable, though maybe they should adjust the menu for the moment or put a sheet of paper with the menus warning about it (or on one of the white boards around the restaurant). Mom found out by ordering and getting told they didn't have them because the salad bar is closed. She finally just asked what was available to make things easier. Mom got the meatloaf with mashed potatoes, mac&cheese, cornbread, and fruit tea to drink. I got catfish with greens and mac&cheese, coffee to drink. The coffee was passable, not the best I've ever had but definitely not terrible. Mom said the fruit tea was heavy on the pineapple juice this time and not as good as the first time she had it (her second time here, my first). The catfish was absolutely delicious. Perfectly seasoned and flaky. It came with tarter sauce that I think is homemade(mainly because it's got a yellowish tint and I've never seen that before), and was some of the best I think I've ever had. It also came with hushpuppies that were delicious. The meatloaf was delicious as was the cornbread and the mashed potatoes weren't bad, but like the coffee, I'd call them passable. I was disappointed in my sides, especially the mac&cheese, it's one of my favorite things to eat and for a restaurant I thought there's wasn't that good. I've had boxed mac&cheese that was better. It was a little liquidy and the cheese had a strange taste to it. The greens were very watery, and tasted as if there was no seasoning at all. After asking for salt, pepper, and vinegar, I tried to fix them but still felt they were rather unpalatable. We had fudge pie for dessert and even though I have a sweet tooth it had a strange aftertaste that I think was from too much syrup in it. It wasn't bad, just different. Overall I would definitely still recommend trying here, maybe just avoid the mac&cheese, greens,...

Takes the term "Greasy Spoon" to a literal level. Been going here for the last 5 years and some things have changed considerably while other things have not. Typical little home-cooked spot that has a good amount of menu items to choose from. Prices are cheaper than other places in the area. Service wise from the waitresses has been good as they are pretty attentive to your needs. The kitchen however has taken a turn for the worse. Simple premade meals like the meat n 3 items take 40+ minutes to arrive and is served lukewarm. Been on many different days/occasions with the same results so it isn't just an off day. Too bad as this was one of the places we liked to dine. Since we've been going here the only thing to be updated were the menu covers and newly printed inserts. Other than that glasses, silverware, plates, tables, chairs are extremely beat up to the point that I'm surprised the health dept hasn't deducted them considerably for it. Bathrooms are a mess and wouldn't recommend using it unless its an absolute emergency. Whole place needs a good deep cleaning for sure. I could go on and on but you get the idea. Let's just say it's not as sanitary as what you want expect a restaurant to be. If this is what it looks like on the outside to the general public, I would hate to see what its like in the areas that we don't see. This will be our last visit for...

We love "meat & 3's", but this is just the absolute worst. We've tried to give Mable's several chances, but each time we are left with absolute awful service, mediocre food, or even no food because of how long we had to wait or they forgot to put in one of our orders. We have tried breakfast (I only ordered biscuits & gravy & it took about 25-30 minutes to get that & my husband's eggs & biscuits out, then my gravy was not just not hot, but it was cold. We couldn't get refills on his coffee and it took the server about 10-15 minutes to come over to take our order) and we tried dinner several times & were disappointed every time. The service (or really lack there of) is the absolute biggest problem: takes forever to get a server & she's so busy that she forgets half of the stuff & don't even think about getting a refill, because it won't happen, some of your order won't get put in or it will be put in wrong, and the food takes forever, whether they are busy or not. The salad bar was ok the first time, but the second time I got it, it was completely gross. Their prices are decent, but I would suggest just going to Mc...

I have never teared up in a restaurant, but Mable’s Dining Table in Gallatin TN brought tears to my eyes — the kind that comes from when something truly touches your heart. From the moment we walked in, it felt like coming home. Our waitress, Heather, was an absolute sweetheart. She treated me and my daughter Tiffany like family — not just customers. Her warmth, smile, and genuine care made the whole experience even more special. It felt like we were sitting down at a grandma’s table, not a restaurant. And the food? Lord have mercy! I had the tenderloin biscuit with gravy and eggs, and it was so delicious!! Every bite took me back to my grandma’s kitchen — comforting, and made with love. To top it all off, the prices were incredibly reasonable. It’s rare to find food this good at prices that don’t break the bank. It felt like a blessing in more ways than one. If you’re looking for a place that feeds both your heart and your belly, Mable’s is it. Tiffany and I will definitely be back — and you can bet we’ll be asking for Heather!
