Beer Belly Deli — Restaurant in Garden City

My co-workers and I often order from here for lunch. Today, I picked up an order for some of my co-workers. I didn’t place the order, someone just asked me to pick it up. I get there, pay for the food, take 3 bags on the counter. The guy at the counter watches me take the bags—there was no inclination of which bags were mine, I would assume someone would have stopped me if they’re literally watching me pick up the wrong order.

I get back to work and a female employee of Beer Belly Deli is calling my office and telling me that I “took someone else’s food and I need to bring it back.” I am not sure how this happens, and I have never in my life been CALLED by a restaurant and asked to bring food back. It’s also concerning because we opened every box trying to figure out what was what—I really hope you didn’t RESERVE THAT FOOD…because why else would you need it back? I truly hope you don’t treat all of your regular customers this way and I hope the poor people who ordered after me didn’t get the food you demanded to...

Came in to finally try this place after hearing so many good things from all of my coworkers and friends. My boyfriend and I were so excited to come in and we’re immediately taken aback. The lady working said nothing to us when we came in so my boyfriend said “hi how’s it going?” to which she responded and said “yep,” walked up to the counter and said “eating in or carry out?” We decided immediately based on her very terrible attitude that we would do carry out but we just needed to look at the menu. I asked her if she had any recommendations and she shook her head and said “no it’s up to you.” We decided to just leave because we clearly were not wanted in there and she followed us out to smoke a cigarette in front of the building. Thanks for a terrible experience, hopefully you find a job where you are actually happy and reconsider working with the public because you are terribly unfriendly and I’m sure it has turned away...

Gosh we love it here. The menu is really straight forward and what you see is what you get. I'm a giant fan of their fresh pasta salad, and their sandwiches are sure to filly your hungry belly as they never come to you short on fillings. If it's genuine food made fresh you're wanting, this is absolutely the place to stop by. Tucked away on the bend of the road you'd hardly notice it if you werent looking, making it the perfect quick in and out spot. They offer picnic tables outside where you and your furry friend can eat some fresh cut meat together, and a wonderful homey inside seating area of both bar styled high top tabel by their big windows and a couple normal seating tables centered in their shop. Here they have a TV, soda machine and some choice wine and beer options if you're looking to sit and relax while they hand prep your food. This is a 5 star deli in our books, and certainly one we will continue to...
