My wife and I recently purchased our new home in The Lakes, and needed to furnish nearly the entire house. One of our biggest obstacles, was going to be the 'floating' Living Room. We were saving that for last, as all passages lead thru the heart of the house. I had purchased two (2) Best recliners here at J&K earlier, and learned that they had an Interior Designer at our disposal, so we signed up. We met with Laura Lander, and set up the appointment for her to come out to the house to see what we were working with, along with taking measurements and photo's of our other furniture, and wall art that we might be using near this area.

About 10 days later, we went back to meet with Laura, and she had put together three (3) design scenario's all with color assorted styles and lay-out. One of her scenario's was a Home Run! The style and color were exactly what we would have settled on after months of painstaking searching. The best part, Laura has already picked out the fabric's and rugs, and furniture styles to meet our needs. This was HUGE, given the 1,000's of choices, that I know would have been very difficult to agree on.

The cost factor of having her expertise at our disposal was, nominal given the task at hand, plus we still have her assistance and knowledgeable opinion for another five (5) months. Once we have all the furniture in place, we will work with Laura on the accent pieces.

The experience we shared was nothing less than pleasant and worked well beyond our expectations. Laure Lander, you are the BEST and we can't thank you enough!

We recently moved to Murrells Inlet after building a new home. We were looking for a personal and professional interior designer to help us decorate our open concept floor plan. We needed to select furniture and custom window treatments for our great room, kitchen and dining room that were cohesive in style and color.

We met with Laura Lander at the Murrells Inlet location and after an initial meeting, we set up an in-home design consultation. Laura came to our home and spent several hours talking with us and getting to know our likes and dislikes. She took detailed measurements of each room and window and used paint and fabric fandexes to begin her research and selection of different options to present to us. We met with her over the next few weeks at her showroom and with her professional guidance, we selected beautiful custom fabric pieces of furniture, rugs and custom fabric window treatments.

Laura went above and beyond in listening to our questions and she arranged every detail for our order including best price points, installation and delivery. She demonstrated patience, professionalism and a gentle demeanor when meeting with us.

We just made our second furniture purchase with Laura at the Murrells Inlet location. She is and will be our "go to" for furniture. I hope she never quits. Lol She helped me locate a swivel glider. I wanted to order the glider ottoman to match. She informed me that it may not be the exact same color because it may come from a different bolt. She went out of her way to call the Best represetative and he assured her that it would be from the same bolt, therefore be the same color has the chair. You could never meet a nicer person than Laura. Whenever I walk in, she greets me with a smile and always calls me by name. She really tries to meet your needs and goes over and beyond to do so. Please, if you need any furniture, a set or maybe an accent piece, just ask for Laura. Jk has some beautiful furniture, rugs, pictures and accent pieces, mattresses and so much more. I used to use Garden City furniture, not anymore. Overall Jk in Murrells Inlet with Laura has everything you need or they will get it. I forgot to mention that almost everything is customizable. You can pick from many swatches to suit your own individual needs. ...
