I had an absolutely amazing experience at Madhuban Indian Cuisine, and I wholeheartedly give it a five-star rating. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the Chicken Tikka Masala, which was incredibly delicious and left me craving for more. As I savored my meal, I couldn't help but notice the numerous awards proudly displayed, testifying to the exceptional quality of their Indian cuisine.
The restaurant's cozy ambiance added to the charm, although it is worth noting that the space is relatively small, accommodating just a handful of tables, around ten in total. This intimate setting makes it perfect for a romantic or personal dining experience rather than a large group gathering. It's important to set the right expectations when choosing this restaurant.
While perusing other reviews, I came across some complaints about the service. However, I must emphasize that my server was handling the floor alone. Though he couldn't attend to me as frequently as I would have liked, he made sincere efforts to check on me whenever possible. I deeply appreciated his hard work and believe that some reviewers may not have considered the circumstances under which the staff operates.
I initially anticipated a buffet-style dining experience, but unfortunately, the buffet was closed during my visit. I'm unsure if this change was specific to lunchtime or if it's a permanent adjustment. It would have been great to have multiple options available, but nonetheless, the generous portions of the meal made up for it. I left the restaurant feeling incredibly satisfied and pleasantly full.
If you're a fan of Indian cuisine (and who isn't?), I highly recommend giving Madhuban a try. While the absence of a buffet and the limitation to a single meal option might be disappointing for some, the quality of the food and the overall dining experience make it well...
Read moreAs soon as I walked through the door, I knew this was exactly where I wanted to be! It was cramped, crowded, and filled with the aromas of good food. I went for lunch which is served buffet style for $8 and have nothing but good things to say about Madhuban. The food was several orders of magnitude better than any I've had while visiting Boise; it was flavorful, well prepared, and presented exactly how it should be. Now I'm no expert on Indian cuisine but 80% the customers here appeared to be of Indian decent (which is pretty incredible for a city like Boise where practically everybody is a white redneck) so I'm guessing it is not only tasty but also reasonably authentic. I almost never give out 3's in a review and while I did so here I think they should be qualified. The food got a 3 because it was the best I've had since leaving Portland/Beaverton, but there is slightly better food to be found back there. The decor earned a 3 due to it fitting perfectly with the whole-in-a-wall location of the restaurant. It's not fancy or particularly stunning, just perfectly fitting of the restaurant. Finally I gave the service a three because they left a pitcher of water on my table, cleared my plate when I went back for a little more Vindaloo, and otherwise left me to enjoy their awesome food in solitude. (Solitude is relative considering the dining area was practically standing room only!) Man this is just the quintessential place for a great lunch! I drove about 10 miles to try it based only on the reviews Google provided and would drive three times that now that I know how good it is. Give it a try for a casual lunch with friends, you will not leave...
Read moreThere are only a few amazing restaurants in my area and Maduban is one of them. They had the best lunch buffet back in the day (before 2020). You can go there for lunch and eat all sorts of Indian food. From the naan to the tandoori chicken, it was all amazing! You never left hungry. After talking to one of the employees tonight, they are hoping to bring it back in 2025. Fingers crossed that they do. I miss eating there for lunch.
I ordered enough food for two people! I didn't realize how much food you get. Tonight's menu is butter naan, veggie samosa and chicken curry. The veggie samosa was fried perfectly! It was crunchy on the outside and so savory on the inside. You can taste the peas and the potatoes with the aromatic spices. They were delicious! You get two big pieces in one order. I was only able to finish one. They are hearty. I did find them a little too salty but I still finished it. My main course was the curry chicken. It was rich in color and it smelled so good! It had huge chunks of chicken. The chicken was moist and tender. The combination of the rice with the sauce and chicken was the best! And the combination of the chicken, sauce and naan was another incredible bite! Naan is something I can eat everyday. It was fresh, soft and buttery. I finished about half of the curry and I'll have plenty for lunch tomorrow. I'm sure it'll be even tastier tomorrow.
This local joint has been around forever. I can see why with the amazing food they produce! Service is always great! Good is always stellar! You can't go wrong supporting this amazing...
