Against my better judgement, I finally gave in to my husband and we went here. My dish, the red curry with chicken, was actually good although too salty. (I do love salt so….). However, my husbands’ two dishes were less than average. He first ordered the hot and sour soup with tofu, it came out with chicken instead of tofu and strange big bones. It also was not a soup and more of a heavy onion dish with some juice. He also ordered the basil stir fried with pork, this was confirmed to have ground/mince pork, but arrived with sliced pork. To me, it tasted like a bland Chinese dish. (We’ve lived overseas and travelled extensively in Asian countries so are aware of what to expect with certain cuisines.).
There were other issues - but these were due to the server being in trainee mode and new so I can’t get mad. I ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, which came out as a Cabernet Sauvignon, this was replaced with a Chardonnay as while Sav Blanc is on the menu, they don’t stock it yet. When we got the bill, it showed a chicken hot and sour soup instead of the tofu preferred and we were charged $36 for a bottle of Pinot Grigio. We asked for it to be removed and the replaced bill still had the bottle of Pinot Grigio on it. However on the third try the bottle charge was removed as was any request to pay for the glass of Chardonnay, which was appreciated.
I cannot blame the servers doing their best especially if training and they were extremely polite and apologetic. Hoping they get it together as they have an opportunity to be a well placed Thai food location for those down...
Read moreFood was awful. We came in for the lunch and selected Curry and pad Thai. The curry had ground chicken instead of whole chicken annd nothing else in it and the Pad Thai noodles are all sticky together like they had been cooked and reheated with no vegetables or anything in it. Additionally, it was all swimming in a puddle of grease with no flavor. I was hopeful because of the better reviews that this place is getting, but it’s possible that because we don’t have a lot of options in this area. People are OK with this mediocrity. Just to add there have been no updates made to the inside since it was the diner and the place looks kind of dirty. I could’ve overlooked this if the food was decent, but it might’ve been one of the worst Thai meals I’ve ever had. Thai laos Myrtle Beach is amazing...
Read moreWe had a disappointing experience at this Thai restaurant. Despite the restaurant being nearly half empty, we were left waiting at the door for about 15 minutes before being seated.
I ordered Pad Thai and made it very clear that I have a peanut allergy and requested no peanuts. Unfortunately, the dish still came out with peanuts placed on the side of the plate, which is careless and unsafe for someone with allergies.
On a positive note, the Tom Yum soup was delicious, and overall, the food itself was tasty. However, the service was disorganized and inattentive, which really overshadowed the meal. Good food doesn’t make up for poor service—especially when it involves ignoring a...
