I like to try this place because I saw a lot of photos people posted on Facebook group , it’s looks delicious and inviting. But after trying, i was highly disappointed . If you're looking for Quality food this is not the place , but if you're looking for quantity food this place is for you. Food: I ordered 2 dishes of Sườn - Bi - Cha Trứng - Opla . Its was $14 a dishe. Food came out fast , big portions with two pork cutlets for each order. The pork is too sweet, contains a lot of sugar and fat. The “cha" is worse than other local restaurants, too much egg yolk, dry and tastelessThe "bi" looks like it's mushy. The soup is too salty, maybe it's near the end of the day . I asked the waiter to taste it to see if it's salty or not, He is agreed it was really too salty . Ambiance: The restaurant noisy, The tables are too close to each others, the chairs are big. There is no personal space, like you will end up sitting with the other groups . I guess the long line was just people trying out this restaurant for the first time because it's new or maybe it’s cheap for the price, big portions or it’s something else I just don’t know why it’s...
Read moreWe were in the area and had already ate but decided to order take out to bring it back to San Diego.
Their menu is extensive with many options of protein with your broken rice or vermicelli. They also have the skillet and bánh mì sandwiches if you don’t want noodles or rice.
We ordered the basic items of bbq pork, egg cake and shredded pork skin. Price-wise, I paid cash and it was $14. Portion-wise, it was huge! So much meat ratio to rice.
As a take out item, they still included a side of daikon soup and corn che for dessert. The entire meal was well packaged so that nothing leaked and it was still intact when we got home.
Taste-wise, it was delicious! The bbq pork was sliced thin and grilled with a charred flavor with a bit of sweet Unami flavor. The egg cake was moist and soft. My only complaint was the shredded pork. It was all 90% skin with a few slices of pork. When we heated it up, the skin stuck together like a blob.
Overall, we enjoyed the meal. Looking forward to come back to try the salted egg cake version and add...
Read moreI visited twice over the weekend and had to wait over an hour both times, so I decided to try again on Friday around 11 a.m. It was still busy, but I was seated right away. I ordered the Sườn Bì Chả Trứng Muối Opla, and the service was quick—from ordering to receiving my food. The portion was huge, and I couldn’t finish it all! The pork was tender and flavorful, with just a hint of sweetness. I really enjoyed the Chả—they steam it first and then bake it, which gives it a dry, warm outer layer. There was plenty of kimchi, which I love, and the dish also came with a soup and a dessert.
The restaurant has a great layout for large groups, although it can feel a bit packed with all the tables and chairs. When it was time to pay, I had to wait in line because others were in line for their to-go orders. It might be more efficient to have a separate line or allow for online/phone call payments for to-go orders. Parking was a bit tricky to find, but overall, I had a great experience and will...
