I will NEVER visit this restaurant ever again.
They only accept cash, but make ZERO EFFORT to inform you of this prior hand. It was not until I was sitting down and eating my food that I noticed a small sign tucked away near the cash register that says "Cash Only".
This was supposed to be a peaceful dinner after a long day of driving, but I did not have my debit cards with me, so I panicked and ended up having to setup an ATM PIN for my credit card directly on the spot just to perform a $20 cash advance and withdraw money from the ATM inside to pay for the food. Lost an extra $4.50 for the cash advance.
Had I saw that little sign beforehand, I would have quickly walked out and went elsewhere instead.
This restaurant is obviously trying the hardest that they possibly can to evade paying taxes to the IRS. Please do not support these type of businesses; they choose to not accept credit cards so that they do not have to report any income to the US government, and what they are doing is essentially BORDERLINE ILLEGAL.
To make matters worse, the old lady with the glasses who served me is ENTIRELY UNASSERTIVE, and struggled to understand the most basic English. After I paid, I asked her if I could have a cup of water, and she just rudely stares at me and points to the receipt like it's her first time hearing someone speak in a foreign language. No customer service skills whatsoever.
Think about this: Do you really want to support a business that clearly only cares about making as much money as possible, to the point that they choose to inconvenient their customers by doing all their transactions under the table? I...
Read moreWe were having a BAD experience at this Pho restaurant and poor service quality. First of all, we arrived first, sat at the table first and ordered before the next table for a long time. But then the server brought food to the next table before us. I could see that he had brought our food to them by mistake, by the expressions on the faces of the customers next to us. They were confused but still ate what was supposed to be ours. Then he brought out our food, of course, a lot of things were missing in it. My friends wanted special pho with large noodles and a bowl of rich/fatty broth, but they forgot and we expected that by observing what they were doing, so not really surprised. They are very UNPROFESSIONAL and DISRESPECTFUL towards customers, as we did not receive a single apology after all, at least after he brought the wrong food there should have been an apology for the omission to their customers, but there was also no apology and his attitude was very superficial. Besides that, I did notice that the guests at the table next to us were brought water when they all finished eating. Anyways so many aspects to speak up about their lack of...
Read morePlease note: I do not based my reviews on service or wait times. I think it's standard to find these places with less than stellar typical customer service. As for those who complain that iced water costs $0.65, please note that in many places in the world you are charged for water. Plus water is 65 cents, it's not bank breaking.
Food: I don't really feel like pho ga was really half off. I would never pay $11+ for pho but $5-$6 seems about right. Also I highly recommend getting the large size which is way bigger than most average pho places. I find the broth for the pho ga to be a tad on the sweet side but is by no means bad. You get plenty of meat in your bowl and the white meat is not dry. The real gem is the liver. I typically avoid liver since it tends to taste too metallic and irony. However, the liver here tastes really clean and has a light flavor. Plus it's not over cooked at all, nor was it too soft. It gives a delightful extra texture to the dish.
This place was great to go to after a long day at Disneyland. I would definitely...
