The food is acceptable but the service isn't good, especially the cashier and waitresses. They are rude and untrustworthy. The owner or previous owner built a very good reputation for her restaurant as a good Mexican food and decent service. This evening, I ordered mole with rice and beans which is usually served with a bit of vegetable, a couple of tomatoes slices and onion. The waitres did not served me rice, just the mole and beans. She did not bring me tortillas and salsa until I asked for them. At the time of paying my bill she told the cashier I ordered extra tortillas which wasn't true and also the made pay more for my wife pork ribs green sauce and my mole. The cashier said the prices listed on the board were not updated but the point of sales prices were correct even though they were at a higher price. When I checked my receipt I noticed they charged me for two dishes we did not consumed, "patitas de puerco and pechuga de pollo" instead of mole and pork ribs in green sauce. We promised not to return again. This place may have new owners. They do not have a clue how to gain and retain customers. At this pace, this place will go broke soon....
Read moreBest chilaquiles I've had, right after my mom's of course. Small little bakery/restaurant down the street from my house. Found on Yelp, and thought to try it out, and I'm glad I did. I ordered their chilaquiles plate with a cup of coffee. From order to being served, it was about 10 minutes. The plate was enormous, as it comes with beans and rice, and a good portion of chilaquiles with egg. The chilaquiles were crispy, the salsa was just the right amount of spiciness, nicely garnished with cream and onion. The house salsa, which is green, was really spicy. I asked for two tortillas because they don't come with the plate, because as the lady said it's not customary to eat tortillas with chilaquiles, hut I still wanted some. They are hand made in the back and were delish! Great place for a nice, quaint Mexican breakfast. The only downside was the coffee,...
Read moreHomemade delicious tortillas are the star of meals here. The plates are big so bring an appetite! While there isn't an expansive selection on the menu, what they do, they do right. I ordered the chilaquiles and the sauce was just spicy enough but not overwhelmingly so. The tortillas were still crispy and the rice was amazing! Come early for menudo on the weekend, as we missed it by...
