This restaurant is located on top of a Vietnamese market and seemed to have all the makings of a great hole in the wall place. I was really rooting for it, but the fish and the service were disappointing.
Pros: 1). The server who works here is a nice and friendly lady. 2). The sauces provided are yummy and spot on. 3). The grilled fish is a pretty good size. 4). Plenty of parking available. 5). Plenty to rice wraps provided.
Cons: 1). The fish we received was not fresh. We could tell because the flesh was mushy and not moist. 2). Our fish was refried, as evidenced by the blackened head and overly crispy skin. 3). The veggies were not cleaned thoroughly, since there were tiny insects still on some of the lettuce leaves. 4). The prices on the posters are not updated and not clear before ordering. 5). The poster on the wall says a medium fish = $40, but we ended up with a final total of $52 (for fish and a tea pot).

Read moreThis is a hole in the wall restaurant run by two women and an elderly gentleman. The food and service is painfully slow and you likely will not get refills on your drinks unless you ask for one. However, once the food is out, it’s super duper tasty and filling. Two medium grilled fish will feed a table of seven.
the fastest way to get into the restaurant is at the back of the building up a staircase. there are stray cats everywhere back there, so it smells like feces and garbage in the parking lot. if that’s not your thing, go through the front of the building. there will be a staircase inside that leads to the restaurant.
The restrooms are whack. They’re located outside the restaurant in the hallway. There’s no mirror or paper towels in the women’s restroom. They have a sign that says to please try to keep the place clean because they likely can’t afford a maintenance crew.
Despite the shortcomings, I’ll still come back when I’m in the mood for Vietnamese...
