Del Rancho Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Garland

Could be a really awesome Mexican restaurant w late night sports bar atmosphere but the staff kills it every time. Juanita couldn't be more unqualified to run a restaurant and definitely not a bar. Its a shame bc this place has so much potential. The food is home cooked, fresh and is authentic Mexican food for an awesome price. The portions are huge &plenty of choices so you won't get tired of ordering same thing. The owner is awesome, knows what he's doing bc this is his 3rd opened restaurant, is responsible and pays his bills, doesn't have a drug /alcohol problem and doesn't own a bar to buy his friends. He is a respectable family man and I really thought I finally found my new home and looked forward to seeing it grow its full potential. Since my last "home" I bartended & managed for 7yrs was sold after 30 yrs being the "neighborhood bar where everyone knew everyone", I hav been bounced from failed bar to failed bar. When I met the owner, I immediately knew this was going to work. With his experience, awesome food & work ethics and my experience running a sports bar, I thought Del Rancho was here to stay and would be the neighborhood spot for all my wonderful, loyal regulars & all the great new customers to enjoy their food, visit and become the Watch Party Spot for any HOCKEY, WORLD CUP, FANTASY DRAFTS, NBA, MLB & Of course OUR DALLAS COWBOYS games. Weekly Karaoke, free roll TX hold em tournaments, pool tables and weekly live bands would keep us busy every night of the week. Suks that it only takes one bad apple to ruin a great venue. Ask for Liz..... She's been a perfect manager at all locations for many years and was a pleasure to work with. If she's there, she will take good care of you. She's a sweetheart and will take good care...

This was one of the worst experience of my life! I came with my family of 6. All i can say is that the service here is so bad. Our waitress never checked up on us. The only time she came to our table was to drop my family and I our drinks and then our food. She never asked if we needed anything and never offered my family and I refills when we clearly had finished our drinks. We even asked for a sangria margarita and a mango margarita and the waitress said that they ran out of supplies to make both of those drinks. The last time she she came up to us was to drop off the tab without saying anything . TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!! I will never come back here again. This was definitely my first and last time coming here! Btw the girl was short in height, dark haired. She has bangs and puts it up in a ponytail. This is the new location located near Aldis...

I wanted to share my experience with Del Rancho. I came had lunch with my mom and I ordered a Torta, I asked for refried beans, on it, ham, when I got it. It had beans only on one side of the bread. No avocado, no jalapenos, it was a sad Torta I asked for jalapenos and I got charged 2 dollars for 3 sliced jalapenos. I ordered agua fresca de Sandia and got Melon . Waitress was nice but didn't pay attention to what I had ordered. We go there all the time because food is great but today wasn't a good experience. I spoke to the manager he said the owner was his father in law. That he would talk to him and cook. I don't see the reason to talk to them when order was wrong.I have talked to owner several times and he's very nice. But this other guy wasn't. I did leave a good tip even if service and order wasn't...
