This place was so hyped up so I had to come in and try. I was wanting to try a little bit of everything that I saw. We went around 7 p.m. First I want to say that I'm not understanding why they have trays set out for you to get sweetbreads and put the breads on top of the trays and then take them to the cash register for the lady behind the register to bag them. It's too much handling from person to person for me. There were boxes they're so I grabbed a box. Better for me to get my bread and put them in the Box and she wouldn't have to touch nothing just price them. I saw customer after customer grab a tray from the table and put their bread they selected on a reusable tray instead of a unused new box- anyway the sweetbreads were stale by morning. Got a plate of fajita tacos, The taste was nothing to brag about like what I've heard. I had more peppers & onions than meat. The salsa had a good flavor but was way too watery. The rice was a little bit too sticky for my liking. I did not know what Champurrado was as there was no label in English. The lady that works there was pouring some liquid that I could not guess what it was and when I asked what it was she replied in Spanish "Champurrado", I asked what it was called in English and she said she did not know. The customer she was pouring the drink for replied that it was Mexican hot chocolate, so okay that was nice to know, glad he was there because the lady basically blew me off when she couldn't tell me in English what it was. I decided not to get any. We got flour tortillas, they tasted good but unfortunately when we went to heat them they were stuck together because the plastic that supposed to separate them was not covering properly. The prices were good. If you pay cash you save 4% of the credit/debit card fee that they passed on to you. We went on a Thursday and I would like to try a Saturday or Sunday to see if I have a...

Read moreIn this case, the one star serves as a ZERO since one star iis the only option. We were long time regular customers as we are Garland residents and we support our Garland businesses 100% but this place has left taken a turn for the worse in the worse possible way. We ordered a tres leches cake and got a chocolate cake and the owner got really upset and offended that we brought it to his attention and told us he would give a refund and to never order from there again. If you don’t know what a tres leches cake is, don’t take the money and give a chocolate cake. Never issued the refund. But that’s okay. We have referred many people to this place and that will be reversed. The owner has absolutely no professionalism. We will never step foot in this place again. La Michoacana is our place from now. La Michoacana has...
