I've been eating at this Shipley's location for close to two decades. My family has made Sunday kolache day growing up and I've been trying to keep the tradition going.
A few months ago we had an order that was short a few kolaches and after delivering them to my parents 30 away. No biggie, the store said they would make it right next time I came in. When I came in the next time, another person was working so I let it slide and didn't make a big deal, no biggie.
That is until it happened again. I literally called the store and they gave the same "come in, we will make it right" but I live not that close and it's not really fair or convenient to just drive back.
Counting to 6 and 12 isn't hard. Bakeries used to give extra items for free to make up for mistakes, but in today's world you are lucky if you get what you pay for.

Read moreWas in town for a Wedding Shower and on the way back home, we had to stop by to grab us some donuts and Kolaches. We ordered half a dozen glazed, half a dozen of walnut, and half a dozen kolaches.
The glazed donuts was so good, it just melted in my mouth. The walnut donut had just the perfect walnut to donut ratio. Of course after having two donuts, I was just about full but I had to try their Kolaches. It was great. The sausage was warm and bread was soft and moist.
The service was great. The little lady in the front was super nice and friendly. I loved that it's a family owned shop. I would definitely come back if I'm ever...
