So, I've tried this place a couple of times throughout the year and the shop overall is nice, I just wish they paid more attention to cleanliness. The floors are almost always sticky and the countertop where they hand you your drink always has spills. I tried the Tropical Paradise and over-all it was a good drink but not my drink. The two Milk teas I tried were gross, one was the Jasmine and it was so watery, with no real Jasmine taste. A few months before I had tried the Milk Tea and it was good, and had good tea flavor... Since I've returned the quality of the tea has diminished and it's just as if I was drinking chocolate milk. I've noticed that with two other drinks the flavor is inconsistent, the Passion Blast is a completely different drink from last summer. The other drink is the Fruit Tea madness which has no tea taste and is now overly sweet, had I known they changed recipes I would've asked them to cut down the sweetness, but their green tea is almost always too bitter so I understand why they'd up-ed the sweetness. I'm so disappointed with this shop because the flavor has changed so much that it seems as if there has been a change in recipes which, to me, have a worse quality and just taste nasty. Its a compltely different shop from when it opened, the teas all taste different, the coffee is not what it once was and the employees are not as upbeat/nice as they used to be. My cup was sticky for some reason and the number on my receipt I received was the same as another customer's. So there was confusion when it came whose order it was. I felt sick after drinking a spicy mango smoothie and had to go the restroom numerous times today. My friend got charged for when asking for less ice, which is ridiculous. Other bubble tea shops such as Sharetea do not do this. Charging for less ice is clearly a sign of a greedy business that puts profit before reputation. I am disappointed that a boba shop I enjoyed going to before going to a graduate school out of state is now subpar with employees that look lost in their tracks while working. For instance, I saw two girls just walking back and forth grabbing stuff while trying to make a SINGLE drink each, making the wait even longer than it should be. This style of producing a drink is just too slow when there are 8 or so other customers. Which is no wonder as to why all the previous great staff members are now gone. Most of the workers this week must have been newbies with less skill than a 6th grader trying to write a dissertation. The girl who took our order was literally texting on her phone as she was taking our order. To worried to get back to her phone Rushing us on our order by saying āis that it?ā After we ordered one thing, mind you we are a group of 3 people and two people still needed to order. We ordered two drinks, and they were on their phones while one took breaks from her phone to make our drinks. We were the only people in there waiting for our drinks and it took 10 mins to get them because they were too busy on their phones texting and showing each other stuff. When we left, received no āthanks for stopping by, or come back and see us againā because two girls were busy hunched over the counter on their phones and another was in the corner sitting down on her phone. Customer service is sadly going downhill these days.
