I’m not in this are often but I will definitely be making the drive more frequent to visit Main Street Café! I was impressed! I got the spinach/strawberry/ pecan salad with chicken. Every bite was delicious! Everything on the plate was perfect! The chicken was cooked perfectly, strawberries ripe and flavorful, pecans were fresh, spinach was fresh - not a single bit of it was bad (it’s been a long time since I had a salad out and could say this). The perfect amount of vinaigrette dressing was mixed in. It was truly memorable. Just prior to finishing my salad, I overheard my waitress (also the owner, I was told) asking another patron if they wanted dessert, so when she asked me, I was already prepared to ask about the Belgian chocolate mousse cake. Oh my gosh! It was roll your eyes up in your head good! They were so nice and there were little touches like plants, fresh flowers and art painted on the little black folders they bring your check to you in. I highly recommend this place!

Love love LOVE this local, family owned spot. A couple owns it; and the day we were there, the husband had something with the kids, so the wife was cooking everyone’s meals on her OWN. She must be magic. I don’t know how she got every item for our party out hot and fresh at the same time! And no one appeared to wait long for their food. Certainly not long considering a single person was cooking! They have a server on staff, and her boyfriend and a family friend jumped in to help run the place for the day! I share this because I wouldn’t have known any of it. Everyone was super friendly and professional. The place can’t hold a ton of people and knowing what I know now, I’m glad of that. Because the food was amazing and the service was perfect. I want this place to grow and prosper- but don’t change! Ok, well you can grow enough to be open for dinner, but only when it doesn’t have to impede on family time! Love that the family comes first! We will be back for sure!

My Sisters and I went there after we left the Funeral Home that we went to so we could make arrangements for our Mom. After a very stressful weekend and day, we wanted some good food and let me just say," They DIDN'T disappoint!" I even enjoyed my left overs because it was too much to eat in one sitting. I ordered their Spinach salad with fried chicken on top, along with feta cheese, strawberries, pecans and their Balsamic Dressing. It was DEELISH! My Sister's had, Chicken Fried Chicken, Hamburger, Chicken Fried Steak, Truffle Garlic Fries and more. It was all cooked to perfection. Wait staff was nice and attentive. The atmosphere was was nice. I will be going back.

If you are a person of color I would definitely not recommend this place! My cousin and I called and placed an order over the phone, and even over the phone they were pushy and rude! Once we got there to pick the order up we could INSTANTLY feel the negativity in the atmosphere! NOT ONE PERSON GREETED US EVEN THOUGH THE CASHIR AND SERVER BOTH LOOKED DIRECTLY AT US MULTIPLE TIMES! We stood there waiting for at least 10 min just to see if someone would finally say something and they never did so we started to leave but that’s when the cashier finally asked our names and it was only because she knew we were about to walk out! So we tried to go ahead and maybe get the food so I confirmed who I was but I kindly asked if I could see the food before she swiped my card since I was about to pay $40 for my food and the service was already BAD!WE THEN OVERHEARD THE COOK/MANAGER TELL HER “ NO IM NOT DOING THAT! “ so we left! She then proceeded to call my phone and tell us that we BETTER come back and pay for the food or she would take “further measures “ and she cursed us! MAIN STREET...

I recently visited Main Street Café in Garland with high hopes for a cozy and delicious meal. Unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory.

Upon arrival, the café seemed inviting with its charming decor and bustling atmosphere. However, the hostess appeared overwhelmed and visibly stressed. Despite the initial welcoming vibe, she discouraged us from waiting for a table due to the apparent busyness of the café.

We were disappointed as we had heard great things about the food and were looking forward to trying it. While I understand that busy times can be challenging, a better approach from the staff would have made a difference. Perhaps an estimated wait time or an offer to put our names down for a table later would have been more accommodating.

In summary, the café looked promising, but the service left much to be desired. We hope to give it another chance in the future, hoping for a better experience. For now, our visit was cut short by the overwhelmed staff and the lack of...
