After the old store was torn down, and the new one was up and running, I really had high hopes that the owner would make sure that things went better at this location. Boy, was I wrong!!! Every visit takes at least 30 minutes because they do not have chicken ready, and the staff is past the point of incompetent, and disagreeable. This evening's experience took the cake though. First off, the girl behind the counter must have been brand new because she didnt know how to work the computer, nor did she even care enough to put my order in correctly. The order itself was fairly simple, as follows: 5pc tenders dinner, spicy, with french fries. Number two dinner, two legs spicy with mashed potatoes. Large red beans and rice. The girls entered the order as a 5pc tenders, mild, with mashed potatoes. At this point that manager comes over and steps in, corrects the order, and tells me its going to be 20 minutes for my tenders. "Ok, at least it will be fresh" is my initial thought, and at least the manager caught the error and corrected it. After waiting the specified time, my order is ready. Being i have worked in the food industry for many many moons, I know to check my order before leaving. I open the first box (#2 with two legs spicy) to find one regularly size leg, and one drumette. I asked if I could get a regular size leg,and the manager got all snippy with me, saying they're all that size. When i point out the fact that one leg was normal size, she gives me a nasty look, and chunks a other tiny drummette size leg i to the box. She hands me my box back and i proceeded to check the second box. All was well with the secind box (5pc tenders). Hen i noticed that the manager had not given me my large red beans and rice. I asked for it and she was snippy again, like me asking to receive what I paid for was a huge inconvenience for her. When I got home amd we started eating was when we noticed that none of the chicken or tenders were spicy like I ordered. The biscuits were so dry that they crumbled when touched, and the fries were cold and nasty. Do yourself a favor and forget this place and go to Churches, save yourself the grief, dont waste your money, and get some good food!!!! Side note: the store was pretty filthy, with crumbs on the floor, the tables, and my daughter said the ladies room...
Read moreI want to start off that this is the worst ever Popeyes in our neighborhood. First of all the manager (Maria) is so rude with the customes. I always have had a bad experience there. I always have to check my orders before I leave the drive thu because they always seem to forget something from my order and you can't go into the restaurant lobby because it always closed. So, if they forget something and you don't check your order and your missing items. If have to go back thru the drive thru and the line is so long. I give them the benefit of doubt everytime because my kids like the place but I do NOT. When I was there last week they didn't have white meat only dark meat (thighs and legs) and not that many sides to choose from but mashed potatoes or mac n cheese. So, we ordered anyway and requested extra biscuits. Were at the drive thru window we get our order I check it so the chicken it burnt. I'm like WTH and we didn't get our extra biscuits. So, I ask the youngster at the window I didn't get my biscuits by then the manager came to window saying what's going on. I just asked for my biscuits, then she says we ran out. Ok but you weren't going to tell me and let me leave without the biscuits and not refund me my money. She said (oh did you want your back). Why would you ask that of course you didn't have the extra biscuits so why would I pay for them. Then said she couldn't refund me because they didn't do debit or credit charge refunds ok then give me cash. Well she said they have to wait for another transaction to open the register. I'm not getting out of line and wait again. She then left the window and came back with cash. So, she was mad and very rude. But this manager has been there ever since I could remember. When the lobby was open before at times you could hear and see her arguing with the customers. Being in the neighborhood and going there for over 2 years I never complained on the restaurant until now. I don't like giving bad reviews unless necessary everyone needs there job to make ends meet. But the restaurant needs attention by the Corporate office. Regardless if it is a franchise...
Read moreThe 1436 belt line popeyes definitely isnt one id go to again. Probably one of the slowest in the entire dfw area except for one in plano. And its not like they were slow because they were busy. It was just drag at their own pace slow. Like three people in line and it still took about 20 minutes to even get to the counter to place an order slow. Counter staff was okay. But the real kicker is that this popeyes staff seens incapable of doing some of the most basic things that literally every other popeyes in the area does and sometimes forces you to do. The drive thru was intensely slow too. And the older lady of the two female staff there who was on headset was possibly one of the worst headset employees ive ever heard. Slow, bad at taking orders, incredibly sharp and rude tone to customers right off the bat just asking them what they wanted to order, and was like she was scolding or scorning everyone who was placing their order when she herself was beyond slow and doing maybe 1/3 the workload of every other staff member in the store. Ive seen and trained plenty headset employees before and ive seen them multitask beautifully, for which theyre paid too little. But this lady was just slow and unpleasant. And judging by the fact it looked like she was wearing the manager shirt, i dont think her performance will improve. But her manner with people was so bad it wouldve been a write-up worthy offense for sure. Will definitely never swing by this one again. Especially while that lady is working there because she was just bad at her job and you coild feel it slowing down drive thru and the inside. Overall just a super slow popeyes with no reason for them to have been as slow as they were and no reason some of the stsff couldnt seem to grasp basic concepts of their job that literally every other one in the area seems to grasp. If im going to have to wait that long i think id rather go to a sit down place and tip a waiter who actually cares abojt their job and pay the extra money for the atmosphere and the time taken. At least it was decently...
