Olive Garden Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Garland

WORST SERVICE EVER!!! Shame on this YOUNG girl, who NEEDS more training in Customer Service. Her name is something like Malia, Maria, heck idk. Not worth remembering! She worked the bar on Saturday around 1. Skinny, dark hair. I was seated by myself so it was gonna be an easy go. Gave her my drink order and went ahead and put in my meal order. I told the girl, Salad first, but that's not what happened. So I get my drink and she brings a bowl of soup and the plate for the salad then leaves. I was already not feeling the vibe with this girl but I was trying to be patience. She didn't ask me anything after that. She just stood at the end of the bar(where all the waiters wait and bullshit till they have tables to wait) and just watched me. So Im waiting for her to come over so I can ask about what's going on with this soup that's getting cold and this plate that won't be chilled when I do finally get my salad. So akwardly 15 mins goes by and I have to call the girl over to ask when am I going to get my salad. She looks at me, says you told me to bring you soup first, and rolls her eyes at me!!!! I said no ma'am I said salad first. She just stomps away to get the salad. That right there is why she got NO TIP from me! Now check this out. Idk if this girl thought she was getting me back or doing something to me with this salad but it sure did look like she had revenge in her mind. CHECK OUT THE PICTURE!! She brings this salad out and it had like 50 croutons and it looked like 3 whole tomatos sliced on it. I counted the slices and it came to 18 slices of on this salad. It definitely looked like a Ha Ha here's your salad lady, type of thing. So sad because it didn't effect me at all. It does the store because it's wasteful and product is getting thrown away over her attitude. Instead of trying to turn it around and try and make it better she just didn't. TRAINED waitresses would of apologized for the miscommunication and got it fixed right away! This was the WORSE SERVICE I've ever experienced at this Olive Garden. I come in all the time. if I see this girl I will REQUEST for her NOT to be my waitress. Corporate, I know this is unexceptable behavior and I think this needs to be addressed immediately so more of your customers won't have to be served with...

Tonight on 12/31/23 @ 8:45 pm we (me, husband and 2 year old daughter) went to Olive Garden for dinner

Sat about 8 minutes before I tapped the server button the the table computer to get service

Then Ivan came out and took our drink and food order and then we waited about another 6 minutes for our drinks but I had went to ask the hostess for another waiter but upon the return to the table he was there with the drinks so a manager asked he we wanted to change - I said well since we got the drinks we would keep Ivan as our waiter

Well as we were wrapping up - I asked for 3 to go boxes and a to go hot tea

Well Ivan returned with my cup of hot water for my tea as he squeezed it the lid came off and the whole cup of HOT water spilled ALL OVER my leg as I jumped up to get the pants from from skin on my leg because it was burning my leg - he apologized and never returned - I went to go to the restroom to dry my pant leg before we left because it was cold outside - the hostess said there was no dryer in there and I told her what happened

2 managers I am assuming came to the table and asked if I was ok - I said yes but that it had burned my leg and I told them I was using their napkin to dry my pants - one of the lady’s said I have something better than that and she brought me some big paper napkins and that’s was it - the server came to get the credit card to pay our bill

And then a happy new year as we left

We drove to my moms for the new year and as I finally checked my leg when we got there it was burned underneath and I have marks

I’m surprised I was not given a discount on our meal or a gift card

That is just crazy - I’m not sure if I wanna pursue anything as of yet because I don’t or have never been one of those people...

Sad I spent $150 on what was supposed to be a nice night out with my family (which rarely happens). We thought 'lets treat ourselves' which was anything but a treat. The server was very nice and we thought it was off to a good start. Unfortunately my shrimp scampi was so vile and awful that I couldn't even eat it(tasted like it came from a dirty lake and texture was off). I really wanted to spit out the first bite but had nowhere to do so. I was repulsed. I tasted my husband's chicken scampi and it was edible but not great. My kids got the pizza and fries so they were ok thankfully. The major problem I had was the server asking me if I wanted a box because I clearly didn't eat what I ordered. I responded that I didn't like it and that I couldn't eat it. She said "sorry about that", took my full meal away and still charged me $20 for it. I thought that was exceptionally poor customer service. I've been in the industry my whole life and wouldn't charge a customer if they were dissatisfied with the product. To be honest, this will be my very last visit to any Olive Garden ever. Not worth my hard...
