I stayed at this hotel for one night at the end of April 2025 and unfortunately had a horrific and traumatizing experience. During my stay, I was bitten dozens of times by bed bugs. I woke up itching and saw faint bite marks all over my legs. This is completely unacceptable and shows a serious lack of cleanliness and pest control.||||I walked down to the front desk that morning, but the response was dismissive and unhelpful. They didn't seem surprised or apologetic. I had to request the manager's contact info so I could make a formal complaint. There was no sincere apology, no expression they would inspect the room, and no follow-up. I had to follow up with them. I did report this to the local Health Department as I was concerned for the health and safety of other guests. The Health Department emailed me saying "it’s important to note that bed bugs can be difficult to detect in early stages, and activity may still be present but not yet visible. I do hope you are ok and feeling better." ||||This was not only uncomfortable and stressful but ruined a week of my life. I had to seek medical help, I was on medications, pills and creams to help the pain and constant itch that left me sleepless for a week and in so much discomfort I missed days of work. I urge anyone considering this hotel to think twice. Hygiene and guest safety should be a basic standard, and sadly, this property failed on both counts. In my research, this hotel has received other negative reviews of bugs crawling on sheets and guests being bitten. Look at the photos. ||||Unfortunately, I discovered these reviews after my visit, sadly as I could've avoided a horrific situation. It's been a couple weeks and I still have marks on my legs from the bites healing. I will never stay at this hotel again and urge you to stay away for...
Read moreI purchased the Dine and Stay package at this hotel, which was supposed to include breakfast and dinner for two. However, upon arrival, I was informed that dinner was not available. I completely understood and simply requested that my rate be adjusted to the Best Flexible with Breakfast rate, since dinner was not being offered.
Unfortunately, the front desk agent insisted that my original package already included breakfast and did not need to be changed. I explained that the hotel has a breakfast-only rate and that I didn’t want to be charged for something that wasn’t provided. Instead of resolving the issue, I was told that since I booked through IHG, I needed to contact them because they supposedly act as a third party for Holiday Inn.
Throughout my stay, I was in contact with IHG Guest Relations via the app and phone. They were amazing. and extremely helpful. They confirmed that IHG is not a third party and that it was the hotel’s responsibility to correct the issue. I received a case number and was told that the manager would call me back, likely on Monday. Days later, I still have not received a call, and I had to reach out again for an update. Since this has not been corrected, I am now left with no choice but to dispute the charge with my bank.
On a positive note, the stay itself was pleasant, and the lady who served breakfast was extremely kind and wonderful. However, the lack of responsiveness and accountability regarding this billing issue was frustrating and disappointing. I expected better communication and resolution from a hotel under...
Read moreI was very dissatisfied with my stay. I booked the room for my husband and I. We stay in hotels several times a year and many times we just choose a cheap hotel to lay our heads down because we aren't there for anything more to sleep and get back on the road. However, we decided to spend a little more money as we were going to have time to relax and the hotel had a bar and we could get more than just a free continental breakfast. I booked the room to include breakfast and was ready to relax. When I got there I found out there was a deposit that was not mentioned when I booked online. I went to the Holiday Inn website. He said I did it through IHG and they have nothing to do with IHG. I told him if not, why is becoming a member of IHG on the website and right there on their CC machine? He didn't know. The bed was very hard. I am not one to complain about decor, as I stay in many cheap hotels, but I thought it was horrible in the rooms. If this was my only complaint I wouldn't even mention it. The hallway had a bad smell. For a small hotel with only 1 elevator it was super slow. I have had many free continental breakfasts that were much better than what was served. Only coffee and milk is provided to drink. I don't drink either and had to pay $2.25 if I wanted a small cup of juice. This could be disclosed when you are prepaying for breakfast. The buffet did not have much. The gravy tasted like flour. I would have expected more options for $10 and for the type of hotel they advertised. I could have went to Golden Coral for less money and a...
