Love the Vietnamese subs, but service is terible. Went in ordered my subs and went to wash my hands. Found previous occupant had left toilet paper all over bathroom. Here's the problem I thought I would let the employees know as a courtesy so they could take care of it before anyone else used it. When I did I got someone who apparently did not understand me or just plain rude, I told her the problem and she would say no as if to say not possible, said yes it is we kept going back and forth yes! no!. Finally referred me to the person in charge which by the way was standing there listening the whole time. Explained again that I was merely letting them know as a courtesy bathroom had paper thrown around. She thanked me and said they would take care of it. Just to clarify so no misunderstanding bathroom was clean just person who used it left it messy. Employees need to learn how to treat customers better of all races not just their own. I will still do business here just need to keep posting experience each time. Hopefully...
Read moreThis is the only Vietnamese banh mi place I love in Dallas!
Their banh mi are made fresh in front of you, and they don’t skim on the meats or veggies either. It’s buy 3 get 1 free, which is a great deal considering how it’s only $4.50 each, and everyone in the family can get their favorite banh mi (combo, fish cakes, xa xiu, fried egg, etc).
My mom is obsessed with their meats, and she usually buy a pound to bring back home in Kansas to eat as snack or breakfast. I actually hated eating banh mi after moving to the US because no stores can do it right, and my love for it came back because of Saigon Deli. I also tried the other popular place, Quoc Bao, but it didn’t really meet my standard.
If you plan to order a lot, call ahead so they can have it ready for you. I usually only order 4 so I don’t mind waiting and watching them assemble. Ask for the veggies separately if you’re not planning to eat right away. I’ll go home, pop them in the air fryer for 350” at 2 mins, and it’ll come out toasty and ready to...
Read moreSo far, this place is our go-to for banh mi! Coming from the westcoast, this is the best we can find here! Of course you cannot compare to banh mi in Vietnam. We tried the bakery across the plaza and it doesn’t compare. This place has perfect ratio of meat, pate and veg. The combo is a must! But if you can’t have deli meat, the other options are just as good and it’s great they have so many options! Bread is fluffy inside and crispy outside. The staff seems nice enough. But there was one lady that wasn’t very nice. They are busy so yes, they’re not always smiling. There are some seating but usually we just take home. Airfry it for 2 mins and it tastes fresh again. Ask for the veg to be separated. Buy 3 get 1 free is great promo! The longan drink and the dessert is pretty good too. They’re sweet but nice once it’s...
