Tortas Locas Mexico Lindo — Restaurant in Garland

We loved this place the first time we visited more than a yr ago. We don't often go to Garland, and today I was running errands nearby and I had to stop to buy lunch there (takeout). I was expecting the meat to be flavorful but the pastor, fajita and incredibly the chorizo, nothing had flavor at all! Not even sprinkling salt helped, nor adding salsas, lime, nothing. We could only feel the flavor of the salt, lime and salsa but nothing from the meat. I have no idea what happened, the Torta loca that has different meats was bland as well, the only flavor we got was from the bread. I don't know if it even included mayo, or something but we didn't perceive any flavor at all. Textures are lovely, but that's it. I'm so sad to write this, we were excited since we had a tremendously good first impression and had this place saved as one of our favorites. The lady at the counter was really nice, always a plus to any restaurant. I hope that they can check their recipes because something is not right. Too much meat for the amount of condiments/marinate perhaps? But I can't explain how the chorizo was dry and fully lacking flavor, it's the first time I've ever encountered a flavorless and non greasy chorizo. I have recently started a journey trying to find the best bean and cheese burrito in all of Dallas, Texas after being inspired by an Instagram account I follow. After several of my followers recommended this place off of Highway 78 in Garland I knew I needed to give it an opportunity. Needless to say, I was blown away with the freshness of the beans, the taste of the homemade tortilla, and the abundance of cheese combined making it one of the best burritos I have tried in Dallas as of yet.
