Wendy's — Restaurant in Garland

Like many other fast food restaurants in the area, the experience at this location between the night and day shift is like...well, night and day. When I go to this location for lunch, there are usually no problems to speak of. But going through the drive-thru on a Friday or Saturday night is not so great.

I am only posting this on Google publicly because I was not offered a receipt in order to fill out their private customer survey. I won't presume the intentions of the drive-thru cashier because I don't know the person. However, I have seen a trend in these kind of places to omit the receipt when they know their service is not great, presumably to avoid getting into trouble with their regional management. But again, it may have been an oversight, I just don't know.

What I do know is that my order was treated with less enthusiasm than I would consider acceptable had I been in charge there. The cashier was very short with me both at the speaker and at the window, the same kind of attitude I would expect from someone if I were cold calling them for sales (imagine a telemarketer talking to you the way you want to talk to them, it doesn't make sense). I can look past this kind of behavior as long as my order is correct, however I had some problems there as well.

I try not to complain about the quality of a fast food order, simply due to the nature of the business; I have worked in food service myself and I understand how impossible it is to make every customer happy every time. However, I don't believe there was much effort involved in doing so on this particular visit. I had ordered the 4 for 4 deal and asked for ranch dressing for the chicken nuggets.

Unfortunately, I had an issue with every item in the order. The fries were not fresh, nor were the vegetables on the burger. I received no ranch for the chicken nuggets, and the Coke didn't taste so much like Coke (ostensibly due to those machines that dispense everything from a single nozzle). The good thing is that they did not put mustard on the burger, as requested.

The main reason I visited this location is because it is slightly more convenient to get to (right on the service road) than the other nearby locations from where I happened to be at the time, but I think I will take the extra effort to go...

I come order the same thing all the time! Fresh single with salt but not salty xtra mayo and pickles no ketchup and no mustard! So because they were out of the salt the normally use despite me requesting this numerous of times, they gave me a bland burger straight from the cooler! No onions were on the burger which wasn’t a request! I went to give the burger back the the cashier at the drive thru told me that they don’t have salt it come presalted! Lol which I found funny because I was a shift manager at Wendy’s for 2 years! So I’m aware of what Wendy’s have and don’t have! He then told me they were out and that they could use the the packet salt which is fine I just don’t want a bland burger, I mean who does? He told me to keep the burger and they would remake another one! As I was pulling off he flagged me to stop and requested the burger back that he told me to keep, he said the manager by the name of reecy, reesey, or however it’s spelled told him to come back to ask for it lol OK so I waited another 5 minutes for my new burger, tried it, STILL NO SALT! So I sat here and wrote this review smh I guess it just depends on who is running this ship cause usually this Wendys and crew is everything amazing! I am not thrilled at how the customer service is at this location. None of them were welcoming that it looked like Tiff does not like taking orders. I tried to smile and help my family enjoy their time there but if you are going to take peoples orders then smile with a smiling tone. Not a grumpy tone and straight face with “I don’t wannabe here to serve” vibes. I was not satisfied at all with that and I told my family, we will not come back to eat indoors as often if they keep that bad attitude. I did not want to associate with her just to order for take out = we went to the McDonald’s next door regardless of the long line we never ever see happen at this Wendy’s location anyway. Again, if you are going to serve and or take orders then fake it til you clock o it, smile often even when you’ve to force it and keep good vibes running..aw she was not into it. I saved the receipt to remember her name for this review, will pray for her. I know how it’s like, I’ve worked in customer service like target/Walmart. Be more kind with joyful vibes. Please be patience and nice to your customers too,...
