Do you honestly want to know how my trip to Denny's in Garner North Carolina on May 1st 2022 was? We love the Denny chain family. When traveling that is our first choice for breakfast lunch and dinner. On May 1st we stopped at this location in Garner North Carolina and upon entering the restaurant we had to stand at the hostess's wait to be seated podium for almost 10 minutes while the two individuals in the pictures were going back and forth with each other regarding who was going to seat us. Neither one of them wanted to be cordial enough to come over and address us. This was the most unprofessional and unethical interaction I have ever had to endure at a Denny's location. It wasn't bad enough that we had to wait but they were so egregious in the conversation between the two of them bickering back and forth who was going to set us cuz neither one of them wanted to. Finally the female with the orange hair walked away leaving the guy standing there. He continued to stand there for an additional 2 minutes and then finally came over and repeated again there are three of you. Any fool can see if three people are standing in front of you for the past 10 minutes then there's only three of us. Finally he escorted us to the back of the building to be seated. Once we sat down my husband wanted to get up and walk out the restaurant but my daughter asked him if we could please stay. If it had not been for our waitress Alexis we would have left there and went to IHOP. She was the only shining light to the whole adventure at this location and we did not hold their actions against her. After she took her order the two individuals in the picture continue to mill about the restaurant like they were lost for an additional 30 to 45 minutes. Needless to say we will not ever stop at this location ever again. We will not recommend this to any of our friends or associates if they are in the area. And as for the Denny's management team at this location, you really need to train your staff better if they're going to talk about people they need to get out of earshot of...

After a long wait, my meal came out first and felt a little warm like it had been sitting around waiting and they finally decided to send it alone. A few minutes later my husband and 3 kids receive their plates. My husband's hashbrowns were so undercooked and hard to eat, so we asked for them to be remade, which they did. They didn't bring out any of the kids pancakes for the Jr grand slams and after asking her to check on it, she said they forgot to make them and would do it now. Then we received the bill, where they tried to charge an additional 99 cents per child for the pancakes that come with the Jr grand slams. We had to read the kids menu to her to prove that it came with pancakes as an option and we didn't have any extra items aside from what was included. She double checked with a manager and they said "OK yeah we will take that off". We also pointed out we had an additional charge for 2.50 a separate egg that we never ordered. She explained that the eggs on the kids menu cannot be cooked over easy, which we ordered for one child, and that we had to buy a separate egg for him. We were never told we could not order his egg this way, or that there would be an additional charge. We wanted the charge removed and after talking to the manager she said "the manager said that's just how it is." So not only did I pay 2.50 for an extra egg, we never received an egg that was included with the kids meal.
We placed a complaint with corporate, who sent us an apology email and stated our information would be passed along to the store location, who has said and done nothing. Despite the poor food quality and service that we tried to look past as "an off day", the unfair and deceitful practices of nickel and diming customers will be the reason we...
Read moreDec 2023 updating with a lower review. What a difference a year makes. This time I was with one niece and a nephew. My nephew insisted we come here, I was reluctant because the parking lot was full and I thought the wait would be long. But nope, we were seated in about 10 minutes. The menu presents pictures like Harris Teeter but food looks and tastes like Dollar Tree. They are cutting corners. I let my 11yr old nephew order off the adult menu, he got the very berry combo. Upon first look, he was like - oh this is better than Ihop, but after a few bites, he was like, oh I was wrong this is not better than ihop. I asked that my western omlette ingredients be scrambled instead of folded. Seemed like a simple request as other restaurants do it. The cook here must ain't never had that request. I'm not sure what they did. My food arrived with softly scrambled probably liquid eggs with a few veggies and cheese and they left out the western ham. I had to ask them to grill and chop up some ham so I could stir it up in the goulash on my plate. The wheat toast was the cheap, not so wheat, bread thin, square bread, and the red skin potatoes were just regular potatoes. Anywho. Auntie is making an executive decision next time when the nieces and nephews are hungry. We are going somewhere tried and true. Nope, we did not complain to our waitress. She can only serve what the kitchen provides, and they only cooking what they got. It was not worth the money spent but I still tipped our waitress. She has no control over the food.
