I haven’t been to an IHOP in probably 7 years.
The only reason I didn’t give a higher rating is a personal reason - a personal preference - so PLEASE take the following post from that perspective.
I’ve been eating organic, nitrite free bacon and sausage and organic eggs for years. We eat organic sage, chicken sausage.
Organic clean no chemicals. No preservatives.
I’m sorry, can’t eat at IHOP anymore and I loved it as a kid.
This location? Excellent service and wonderful ladies.
It’s now a personal preference. Personal review.
Even the pancakes, I tasted my son’s pancakes, they tasted like something out of a box.
I’m not dinging IHOP because I have no idea how they make their pancakes. Plus they’re a chain. It just is what it is.
I don’t typically go, and I won’t go anymore to be honest with you.
I would choose a diner next visit out to Raleigh to see my son. Or other more natural breakfast joint. (Yes they do exist!)
Personal preference folks - nothing wrong with the cleanliness, nothing wrong with the service.
The truth is we have been eating healthy, nitrite, chemical free food for a few years now and once you do that?
You can taste the fake/bad ingredients and all the chemicals that the United States allows in our food.
In case, anybody in the United States is wondering?
The US allows chemicals in their food that the international community banned many years ago.
Canada does not and other Countries do not allow what the United States allows in their food.
(Hello profit over people).
So when I made a personal decision to try to be healthier, eat healthier? I learned a lot. You know what else I learned? The food tastes better when it’s natural! Oh my God, it really does.
Having said that, I’m sure there’s plenty of young people that don’t care and just want a quick good meal.
Definitely go here.
I’m going to post my photos you’re going see how good it looks lol!
I just couldn’t get over the fake flavor and that is a personal taste.
That’s why I said I’m not going to totally ding them - but this is a personal review and I won’t go back personally.
I’ll go back for my son. Which by the way? He ate my meal and his.
Please know the service, the cleanliness, the speed to table? Cannot question that at all because it was great.
But if you’re more of an organic healthy flavorful eater? This did nothing for me and by the way? I tasted every single dish in these pictures, and it didn’t compare to how I eat at home flavor wise.
It didn’t compare to some of the healthier restaurants I eat at at home.
No ding against the visual. Just didn’t do anything for me flavor and ingredient wise.
Trust me, there’s plenty of healthy people out there, which is why I went into this review in depth, because some of you - maybe the majority of you - might blow it off?
But there’s a contingent out there that appreciates an honest opinion when it comes to healthy ingredients and natural flavoring.
Who knows?
Maybe the United States will get on board and do the right thing for all citizens of the country and not allow dangerous chemicals in our food - but we’re not there yet folks.
Peace and...
Read moreDon't eat here, the manager Ryan is rude and unprofessional and the waiter Kimberly will lie to you and then when you get your ticket you will be surprised!!! We came here to eat and we're told that kids eat free by Kimberly and ordered as usual. When we received our ticket the kids meals were not removed as Kimberly stated they would be! Upon asking to speak to the manager we spoke to Ryan who stated he was a manager and explained what we were told by Kimberly and he goes oh well your misinformation that you received isn't my issue I'm sorry and walked off. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME EATING HERE AT ALL TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE. Guess this explains why there were only 5 employees in the entire building and not much business here. Save yourself the headache and time from eating here!!!!
The service that we received tonight at IHOP was TERRIBLE! For starters when we arrived, we waited for about 10-15 mins after we were sat at a table to even be served and we had to flag down someone to even be acknowledged. Once we were acknowledged Kimberly took our order, when she was taking the order originally we had planned to order only 2 kids meals bc we have a younger child that normally doesn't eat an entire meal alone so he normally would eat off our plate or share with a sibling. When we didn't order his meal and explained that to her she said well the kids eat free now and showed us all of the meals that he could recvie for free in addition to the other two children that we had already placed their kids meal order , so she convinced us to order a 3rd kids meal because she stated that all THREE kids meals would be free. Fast forward ...we received our food, no one checked on us to make sure we didn't need anything or etc. we had to ask for syrup MULTIPLE times before it was actually provided by Angel. We wrapped up eating ate our meal and asked for the check, when we received our check we noticed it had our two meals and then one kids meal wasnt removed, so my husband went to the waiter Angel and asked him about it, his response was "Yes, I told my manager that I had 3 up there but he said he was only taking off two and I don't know why". I then asked him could we speak to the manager. Instead of the manager coming a different employee named Nicole comes over and starts trying to explain that she had a previous guest that had the same question, which had nothing to do with my current issue at hand. I ask to speak to the manager AGAIN. Finally a manger named Ryan decides to come to the table, I explained to him everything that transpired his response was "Her [Kimberly] giving you misinformation isnt my issue but the kids meals are free per adult entree and walks off. That was the most disrespectful/ unprofessional representation of IHOP ever! So basically Kimberly lied to get us to order an additional meal and told us that it would be free and turns out it wasnt and we still ended up having to pay for it and the manager Ryan didnt try to resolve the issue and didn't care anything about how disrespectful and...
Read moreWent to this IHOP in Garner NC. on 3-16-2014. It wasn't busy at all & my wife and I was seated & waitress took our order and was friendly. My wife ordered what came with 2 eggs, pancakes, bacon & 2 sausage links. My wife doesn't like sausage links so she ask if she could substitute them with hash browns and cook them extra crispy which the waitress said she could. In a few minutes the waitress came back and said the manager said they couldn't substitute the sausage because of something to do with it changing the cost or profit of the order (which I didn't understand at all) so I just told her to give us the hash browns as a side order which I would pay for and I the husband would just eat the sausage links. They brought us the food and the hash browns were still white and not cooked crispy as asked but we said nothing, just wanted to eat and leave. They didn't bring the sausage links so my wife asked the waitress for them since we had to pay for them anyway. This is where it was a first for me, the waitress brought 2 sausage links on a plate and said the manager said my wife would have to give her 2 pieces of bacon back off of her plate because they gave her 2 extra pieces of bacon instead of the sausage links (which no one mentioned before) to which my wife told her to forget the sausage because she didn't want them in the first place. She took the sausage links back and I have to wonder if they were just put back in the bowl or whatever they keep them in to serve to the next person that ordered sausage. I have absolutely made my one and only trip to this IHOP, just wanted to share this story as I still have a hard time believing that...
