This is my second review of this location. Sadly, I was hoping it wouldn't come to this. But I am posting to benefit others so that they have the choice of whether to buy/sell/shop at this location. This is only one opinion. Please research and find out for yourself!
Honestly, I'm not upset, just disappointed. We have been going to Kid to Kid for almost a year, and have bought and sold items there often. In previous occasions, the offers have been great! But today I was offered estimated $21.00 cash or $29.00 store credit, I questioned the amount because I brought in 2 "Like New," items, with accessories that the lady even noted on a blue sticky note "Great," for condition and retailing $146.60 for dollhouse and $48.50 for the little tikes washer. They were played with 1-2 times max, and for both I was offered $21.00 dollars. That's not only diaappointing compared to previous offers both cash/in-store, but low balling it badly. I could understand if the pieces were not in good conditon, or broken, missing several items, etc.(they probably wouldnt even accept them, understood). I have left postive reviews online and given verbally to many people regarding this location When I questioned this, the lady was nice and understood, even agreed in part, she offered me another offer about $8.00 more. The worst of it all, was the Little Tikes washer was already marked to sell in store for $19.99, it still has the tag on it. The lady told me that it was because of some new offer standards. That's understandable, in one way. There is inflation, rising costs, etc. But 21.00 dollars cash or 29.00 in store for both. There is no way! I will not be returning to Kid to Kid. If that is how business is going to go, I will sell and purchase items else where that is more fair. Thank you...
ย ย ย Read moreInconsistent customer service and some poor attitudes in the storeโtypical southern rudeness to put it kindly. Look closely at what you purchase, found many pieces labeled incorrectly with sizes, stuff that was stained and not in great condition. Selling is another story, you might as well donate your items for what they payout.
**per owners request: one of the staff members told me that it was โactually pretty difficultโ for their staff members to be the same across the board in terms of consistency with choosing items. Surely inconsistency isnโt good business practice in any industry and not something Iโd brag about to customers especially as a new business. Go take a look through the stuff you have especially in the girls sections. Plenty of clothes that are faded/worn out, some pieces with stains, and looking a little worse for the wear. I wasnโt impressed with the quality of inventory although there were some good finds a lot of it was just OK which makes it confusing for potential sellers who come in with perfectly fine pieces but get turned away. Your employee basically admitted that some employees have lower standards than others and she even told me โif I saw that on the racks I personally wouldnโt buy it.โ Poor attitude, poor client relations. I regret the money I already spent here on your opening day and you lost out on another sizable sale today because of one employees poor attitude. It was enough to turn me off from coming back here in the future when there are other kids consignment/secondhand shops in the area that just...
ย ย ย Read moreI very much enjoyed my first visit inside Kid to Kid. My 2 younger boys and I were having lunch across the street and happened to see these guys and popped in on a whim. I must say, the kids door that is alongside the regular entrance is the cutest and my kids thought it was the coolest. If I wouldโve let them, thereโs no telling how many times they would have gone back and forth through it. Lol ๐ Also, I will say that I was very impressed with the inventory they had on the inside as well. The diversity of things, as well as the prices of most items were very impressive . Given todayโs cost of things, when I can go somewhere and can pick out a few items and my kids pick a few things and pay less than $50 for it all, I consider that a huge win. That was just the case at Kid to Kid. I want to also mention that if you have a little girl, you will definitely not want to pass up a trip here. I myself, have all boys. But if I did have a daughter, my shopping trip probably wouldโve doubled in length. They have the absolute cutest clothing and accessories for girls. Just adorable! In amazement, I even looked around at one point and noticed my 9 year old shopping for clothes for himself, as well as, his little brother. Never have I ever had me and the kids enjoy a shopping trip the same amount. Especially, with clothing being involved. All in all, I am so thankful we happened to stumble across this amazing little place. This was our first, but will most certainly not be our last visit...
