August 9, 2019 I must be a glutton for punishment...this Wendy's needs a complete overhaul in regards to management, staff, training, cooking...it needs to be closed down until someone who knows about customer service, management, ServSafe guidelines and rules regarding food, are corrected. After another bad experience at this particular Wendy's (this one is so close to home), I went to the drive-through to purchase the Berry Burst Chicken salad, which I love. They were out. I ordered my second choice, Apple Pecan Chicken salad. I get to the window to pay and of course, I have to wait an inordinate amount of time to get the salad. The employee eventually comes back to the window to tell me that she's waiting for the chicken to cook. I tell her thank you and continue to wait. Finally she comes back to the window with my order...Apple Pecan. I drive home, begin eating my salad and notice that it doesn't taste quite right and the chicken is not easy to cut with fork in several places. Do you know why...it is raw! I have already taken several bites and it is raw! I am done! This particular location needs to be shut down until they get themselves together because they are putting the health of the public at risk. This chicken was raw. Health inspectors have been notified and photos of the raw chicken in salad have been sent to them.
About a month ago: Can't believe my experience at the Wendy's on Fayetteville Road...near the Walmart. My son and I went through the drive-through. I ordered a single, small salad, and drink. The cashier (a male) at the drive-through told me my order totaled $12 and some change. I thought it was unusual because it was taking forever to get the food. I paid with my debit/credit card. However, when I did finally receive my order, the cashier gave me my card back, but no receipt which I did think was a bit odd. I asked for a receipt. Now it's taking even longer. Finally a lady came to the window and told me that she could hand write a receipt for me. I was really a bit annoyed now...it took forever to get the food; it's taking forever to get a receipt, and now she telling me she can hand-write a receipt rather than give me one from the register. She then closes the window and we continue to wait. She or one of the other employees comes back to the window and ask us if we could pull over to the side and they someone would bring the receipt to the car. We pull to the side and park...still waiting. My son and I are now a bit concerned and suspicious about the money/debit/credit card/charge...and we know something has gone wrong. The manager/team leader comes over to the car and says the cashier who took the order charged my card $25.47...not the $12.00 which was the price for my order. She said she contacted the manager and told him what happened...that the cashier had charged me for someone else's order. She then handed me $25.00 cash. I said to her, you overcharged my card and were not going to tell me. When you gave me my card back you knowingly overcharged my card and did not mention it...you were simply giving me my card back and was going to keep the overpayment; when I asked you for a receipt you never mentioned the overcharge, and when you asked me to move our car and wait...you knew then you had overcharged my card and failed to mention it. I then asked her to give me a copy of the receipt for the overcharge.. she said she couldn't. I then asked her to give me something to show me what he had charged...go take a photo of the screen with the charge...do something because who knows, you may have charged more than the $25.00. She goes inside and comes back with a picture she took with her cellphone and gives it to me via text message. This is totally unacceptable...to have me wait forever and then to overcharge my card; most importantly, to think that you would not get caught. I have the photo to show...
Read moreI pulled up to the drive-thru at 11:15 p.m. on June 8th 2019 I sat at the sign without being greeted for 3 minutes. I made the statement that I was ready whenever they are. Still got no response. I figured that maybe they didn't have their headsets on and didn't see me out there so at this point I tapped the horn just a real quick tap wasn't trying to be rude. Then was greeted by a girl or lady that had a very rude attitude and stated that they were closed. Now I have been going to eat at this Wendys for quite some time now and they've always taken a real loooong time getting my food to me but I had no complaints, food was hot usually fresh not all the time but that's not what this is about. So this point I knew somebody had a problem with me I don't understand why. I'm just a patriot just trying to order some food. I must have interrupted there I'm not doing anything time because the worker so rudely stated that they are closed. So there's a gas station right next door not 20 feet away with bushes so I go to the gas station and I park on the other side of the bushes and I turn the car off so I can hear the microphone if another customer comes, which one just happens to come along immediately. At that time they proceeded to take their order. So I fire up the car and drove around to the sign and I pull up and ask them how is it they were closed just a second ago when I was there but now they're open taking other people's orders the girl very rude stated that they were closed because their systems were down that's funny your systems was not down as I was coming in the first time and a customer was pulling away from the window after you handed them their food but the systems are down just when I happen to be there to order. So they take my order this time I get up to the window and the girl opens the window takes my money closes the window turns around and makes a statement to the other workers at which point they all look over her shoulder and laugh. I think they're trying to bait me into a confrontation but I would not take the bait. So I make the statement to my kids that I would like for them to please stay quiet at this moment because I'm going to record this incident for when I try to talk to the district manager or the general manager or District general manager whatever their job title is because this is very unprofessional and rude Behavior and reflects on them as well. I made the statement loud enough for them to hear inside but I don't think they cared because the childish and very unprofessional work ethics continued. They handed out my drinks and then made me sit there for a little while longer and then handed out my bag with the sandwiches that I had ordered, the food was not for me it was for my children. Before I pulled away I checked the bag to make sure that the food that I ordered was in the bag and one of the workers walked up to the window and opened it and very rudely said were you recording us I then looked at her and made no statement just shook my head at that point I heard her make a vulgar and racist statement. The problem I have with this is that not only were they unprofessional from the beginning but my children heard that statement and that vulgarness come out her mouth. I'm shocked Wendy's would allow racism and vulgar profanity in their establishment especially someone dealing with customers, that's part of the face of your company Wendy's, absolutely appalled we left. My son fell asleep didnt eat his food my daughter how ever ate hers. Shortly after eating her Burger she told me she felt very sick like she was going to throw up in the car and need to get to the bathroom really bad when I looked back at her she had sweat beeding up on her forehead and upper lip which tells me someone has just poisoned my child I know the symptoms of ingesting poison. Discussing with family whether or not to...
Read moreI walked in for breakfast. I was the only customer in line. I was ready to order but a girl informs me that the register guy will be back in a minute. So I wait five minutes, which doesn't sound long, but is long when you're just standing there. Finally a guy walks in holding a bottled soda. Apparently he had been next door at the gas station. I don't know why he wouldn't have just drank a soda they have there. He asks if I'm ready to order and i say yes and wait for him to make eye contact with me. I was trying to patiently give him time to plug his phone onto a charger. He finally looks up at me and asks if I'm ready to order again. I didn't like his tone considering that his body language told me that HE wasn't ready. I then order. I say "I'm sorry, I was waiting for you, because you didn't look ready" and then I make my order. He doesn't ring it up. He tells me that I misunderstood him, but he's not saying it apologetically. He sounds confrontational so I walk away. I don't care if you like your job, you don't have to pretend to be happy on my behalf, but I go to a fast food restaurant for a quick bite to eat, not to start my day with a confrontation. This isn't the first bad experience I've had at a Wendy's but it was the worst one so far. I will never go back to...
