Awful. The greeter was not welcoming but I brushed it off because it was 8:00PM. I thought maybe he’s tired. At first the server was pleasant but that changed quickly. First they dropped a drink…. Fine no big deal accidents happen…but then they left it in the floor. That is super dangerous and very unsafe. Drink spills are supposed to be cleaned up ASAP and a mop sign should be placed so that others know to walk carefully. Well okay we let that go. Then we get our food and the staff that brought it out did not communicate whatsoever….:he just held it out like here. Also we received no silverware. Okay so we wait and wait. Well our daughter who is 4 years old kept complaining because she was hungry. So my husband went to the kitchen and asked for silverware. Well another server who was super kind brought it out.
Then our sever came out cussing under her breathe as she’s heading to another table (very unprofessional) about the restaurant and how that waitress doesn’t run this restaurant and how she will just go home then. Very rude of her.
And from that point on our waitress treated us differently from all of her other tables. She told us she would be right back with refills at one point and literally helped her other 4 tables before ever bringing them out. She also talked to her other table right next to us all highly. She even said I thank y’all for waiting so patiently for everything. She never came back to us till Time for check and then she made us wait for that. She bought the tablet to the table next to us who was not even finished eating first and said I’ll leave this here for you guys when you’re ready.
This was just the most awful experience I have ever had in my entire life. And I managed a restaurant for 10 years and never in my life would my staff have ever acted like that. I was just really appalled. Not to mention we had our daughters (4 and 5) with us because we had just came from Mcadenville. Which we go to Mcadenville every year. But I can promise you this I will never step foot in this Chills again ever!
The server is very lucky my husband left at least $2.00. We usually leave way more by the way so she...
Read moreSo tonight on the way home from picking my car up, I called an order in, and went to pick it up. This is something I do quite often ( 3-4 times a week ) I get there, and realized that I didn’t have my bank card, and the only cash on me was like $5 in ones, and some Rolled change in my Glove box that I never took to the bank. My total was $10 I walked in, and told the bartender I had the to go order and called him over there and told him that I had left my bank card and that I needed to pay the remaining $5 with change. I explained that the change was rolled but that was all the cash I had. He laughs at me, infront of 4 full tables of people while they all stare and tells me he doesn’t know. He then walks into the kitchen with the money, and ask whoever, meanwhile I can hear the entire kitchen laughing loudly about me paying with change, again while everyone stares at me. He comes back out and tells me he can’t accept my change. I asked to speak with his manager, and he laughs again and says okay then. The manager comes out, and tells me that it’s isn’t a accepted currency there. I explain to him again, that I had left my bank card at home, and that it was only $5 worth. He still wouldn’t accept it. Now y’all, I don’t get embarrassed easily, but being the laughing stock of an entire chili’s was a little much. So I calmly asked him to just cancel my order ( that was already cooked setting on the bar 20 minutes before closing ) that I couldn’t imagine why he wouldn’t take my money. He giggled and said okay while he threw my food away. I calmly walked out, honestly in tears I was so embarrassed .
I will...
Read moreWalking into an empty restaurant, I expected to be greeted right away. That didn’t happen so I walked over to the bar and it took about 10 minutes to receive service. I didn’t have a menu or cutlery until 15 minutes in and the bartender barely knew anything on the menu. In addition to all of that.. my drinks were poorly made. I usually only drink 2 long islands and had to order 3 just to feel something. My bacon ranch quesadilla was loaded with chicken which was a plus but slightly undercooked. My husbands burger was so dry that he didn’t finish it. Checkout was an experience… We’re from out of town and our bank decided to lock our account. So when the payment declined, a very rude manager shouted that the payment declined and asked (while shouting) if there was another form of payment she could use. We had everyone at the bar look over in addition to a few people being seated in the area. I simply asked if she could give us a moment to let the bank know that we authorized the charge and she stammered off. Thankfully some of the locals eased my agitation. They were also annoyed, a lovely couple and a few others commented how horrible the service was. Pointing out the lack of alcohol selections at the bar (it was quite funny). They also received poorly made drinks. In addition to pointing out how ignorant the manager must be to be shouting in an EMPTY restaurant. They literally only had people sitting in the bar section. What a joke. Hope they get their $hit together before they’re run out of business. In case anyone is wondering, I didn’t get the managers name but she was...
