I really hate to complain, but I went to the Gaylord Firehouse and there were only 2 people working at noon on a somewhat busy Thursday. The lack of staff left the restaurant largely ignored and in need of attention. I ordered a small Italian sub and small fountain drink. Personally, I cannot stand drinking fountain pop without ice and the machine was empty. When I brought it up to one of the employees, he apologized and mumbled an excuse incoherently. That was it. I waited about 20 minutes for my small sandwich and still no ice. The restaurant slowed down greatly as I ate my sandwich, and still no ice. There was a woman working alongside the man and they complained the entire time, audibly, about how none of the other employees did "their" job the previous evening before closing and even mentioned the lack of ice. But still, no ice. It may have taken one of them about 3 or 4 minutes to go to the ice machine in back, grab a bucket of ice and load it into the machine, especially since things had slowed down considerably. But instead of working and talking simultaneously, like they had been doing while fulfilling orders, they just stood there and complained about the previous evenings employees. Still no ice. I would like to see a refund for my small drink that I didn't consume much of, and I'd also like to see a change in the attitudes of the people who work there. If they focus on the functioning of the business instead of griping about their co-workers in front of the customers, things may actually get done. UPDATE: still no ice 30 minutes after I left to type this in the parking lot. I know this because people are walking out with their beverages in...
Read moreTypically place is amazing... But this trip im not so sure. I placed my order.. Just 1 sub.. I waited like 10 minutes and nothing, same guy took 3 more orders (at counter alone) then got on the phone... After a while a lady with a blonde puff on her head comes out wearing gloves shoving her mouth with pickles saying i just love pickles... As she started making the order that was placed after mine another customer had to remind her to change her gloves after shoving pickles into her mouth, she then explained to the customer that she changes her gloves 3-4 times per shift (should be changed everytime you walk away from food serving area right) still In awe from the glove convo, im watching her start everyone elses food, i literally had to ask when they were going to start mine and i was looked at like "what u talking about" (as i placed my order about 10 mins prior to other ppl walking on the door) very disappointed in this trip.... Kinda grossed out about the whole gloves thing...... But food is food as usual...
Read moreI had horrible service from start to finish. I placed an online order at 12:30 which was set to be ready at 12:40. I noticed the lobby was somewhat busy so I gave the staff benefit of the doubt. Around 1:00 I decided to go check on my order. They had not started making it and the staff was extremely rude. I went back in around 1:10 to check the status, still not done. While waiting I heard a staff say âI donât even know what I am doingâ not very smart to say out loud.. finally my food was done around 1:20 and when I got to my destination to eat the sandwiches werenât even right. I will not be back. Not to mention, another patron mentioned they had been waiting over an hour for their order. This is unacceptable seeing it wasnât even that busy at the time I was there. Also with a staff of about six people this is just...
