I don't think most people can appreciate the amount of time and detail that is involved in wedding planning. I have never written a review online before,. As a travel agent who has done several destination weddings, I understand the wedding planning process. Here's what I would want to know if I were shopping for a venue locally.
The venue is beautiful, understated and elegant. My daughter's wedding was for 133 guests, and that was easily accommodated.
Melissa and her wedding staff were 100% top notch, and they were all we needed to pull this special day. The staff is beyond wonderful. 3 weeks prior to the wedding, we had a minute by minute itinerary, all without the assistance of an outside wedding planner. They put our wedding centerpieces together, which consisted of a few parts. We didn't need to have someone go in and put them together. If we wanted to make decorations, they were happy to hang them, or put them where ever they needed to go. They never told us "no, we can't do that".
The quality of the food is top notch. I had a beef filet at Eagle Brook a couple of days prior to the wedding, and it was excellent. I had a filet the day of the wedding also, and it was the same quality. Definitely unexpected.
My father wasn't able to walk easily, and they offered a free golf cart to him and anyone else that needed to walk to the outside wedding area. There were 3 golf carts lined up when we arrived the day of the wedding. They were very concerned about his comfort, which meant the world to me. They never charged extra for anything that was up and above, like the golf carts. No hidden or little extra charges for things.
I had messed up the format for a slide show, which was to play during the wedding, and they fixed it 20 minutes before the wedding (because they had such a well rounded staff to handle that). Overall, it may seem like the venue is a little more on the pricey side, this is definitely one of those cases whereby you get what you pay for. Please consider them for your wedding. You truly...
Read moreI had the most BEAUTIFUL wedding at Eagle Brook on Friday! I am in awe of the amazing service I received during my year plus of planning and excellent service on the wedding day. Sue, one of the event coordinators, is an absolute superhero!!! She helped me plan the event from start to finish, was always readily available when I had last minute questions or changes, and really made a personal connection with me. Sue absolutely went above and beyond for me EVERY step of the way! She was on top of it with all of my vendors and covered every detail with a fine-toothed comb. Without Sue, my day would not have been as perfect as it was. Even though it rained on my special day, the ceremony and photos were beautiful! Sue again saved the day calling my vendors and coming up with a plan B before I could even think about taking care of it. The banquet person helped set up Thursday (so sorry I can’t remember his name - but he was excellent)! Joey was my banquet captain on the wedding day and he was nothing short of AMAZING as well!!!!! I heard nothing but RAVE reviews from every single one of my guests! Matter of fact, guests were still calling us and numerous family members the days following to talk about how excellent the service and food was. No complaints here! Such a good value for everything in our package. Typically when you go to a wedding, you don’t remember the food or service, but it was literally the highlight of everyone’s evening. The bartender was excellent too, and I loved that our open bar package included things like Cosmos and Long Islands - many wedding bars will not accommodate. Too bad weddings are a one time thing because we’d love to get married again at Eagle Brook! Thank you to Sue, Joey, the excellent bartender and the equally amazing kitchen and banquet staff who made this the absolute BEST WEDDING (I know I’m biased but this...
Read moreWas blatantly lied to upon joining about things in every aspect of the club. Was told the range is off the grass 5 days a week and didn't hit off grass more than 5 times the duration I was a member. Was double charged for locker fees (7 months apart) and was told that it is just how they bill it. By the time I paid my invoice at due date it was removed. Every monthly invoice besides 1 or 2 was incorrect with random charges (drinks and food that were bought days I was not even at the club). With my initial visit I was also told push carts are allowed. After 2 rounds walking with it I was approached by someone saying they aren't allowed. Was more caught off by the pretentiousness of saying "private clubs do not allow push carts" from a member when there are plenty of higher quality that do. The last straw was them increasing my rate mid term. When talking to the GM he seemed nonchalant about it and said he had no control over it. Management and admin Staff didn't seem to have a grip on anything. I understand, Michael, the new membership director from what he said at my time of joining, was still learning about the club. What is not excusable is lying to prospects to simply get a sale.
Tessa, Joey, Mel, and the chef were all incredible and made the experience amazing. There were members as well who had been there from the beginning that made the club feel like home during my time. Great gym facility and greens. Crab cakes were the best part besides the amazing food and...
