Currito Geneva — Restaurant in Geneva Township

I’ve been here twice before, it’s always pretty quiet but portions are good and so is the price. I’m vegetarian so I like the big variety of veggies. However I was pretty disappointed tonight. I placed an order for pickup via the app and arrived at the restaurant 10 minutes later. Went to pick up in the drive through but it was closed. When I went in, a teenage-looking boy and girl were behind the counter talking. I asked where to grab the order and saw the one on the shelf wasn’t mine. They asked me what my name was and when I replied I watched her pull the sticker off the counter where it was put and she told me it would be ready soon. Pretty disappointed that they stood around for 10 minutes gossiping while my order sat there undone. The point of ordering online ahead of time was to not stand there and wait. They continued their conversation while making my food and the girl was eating food from the line in front of me. Obviously there wasn’t management around. Placed mobile order through Currito app at 5:42 for a 6:22 pickup. Food sitting in bag at prep station when I got in at 6:15. Fine, I'm early, no biggie. 6:22 rolls around, guy asks if I'm picking up. Yep. Tells me they're waiting on more black beans.

End up getting order and walking out 6:32. Food is cold except the green beans.

Weirdly... The quesadilla was made with the salsa put inside. Made it a soggy mess. Never known a quesadilla to be cooked with the salsa inside, especially since we've made the same order here before and it was made "normally" (without salsa inside).

I've been in the food industry, including fast casual like this. I get sometimes there are food issues if there are unexpected rushes or whatnot. It happens. But letting food sit out getting cold negatively impacts quality. And not meeting a 40 minute order ahead negatively impacts perception as well.

1st time there, got there at 7, placed our order and sat down. At the time there was a couple already sitting down and another person who finished ordering right before we got in. Within 5 min we were the only ones in the dining room. Sat at a table for 15+ minutes wondering what was going on (again 1st time visit) several employees walked by and nobody seems to notice we didn't have any food, no one else came in to place an order. Wife finally went to ask about our order - they lost it??? They had to use our receipt to fill the order. "Sorry" We got chips and salsa but the chips had a rather unpleasant taste and couldn't eat them. One employee had to sweep the floor right around us while we were eating - still the only people in the dining room. The classic bowl I got was tasty though, probably not going to...
